I think they're dumping specialists, which is good.
The bigger problem is still going to be the gunplay. Looks like guns perform like gay laser beams again. Dump the e-sports crowd and return to tradition: spread/bullet deviation. Give it more feel and context clues, but make it return at the same level as BF4. Otherwise TTK is going to be retardedly low and the game is going to feel sweaty like apex and cod for absolutely no added value whatsoever. I enjoy sweating in apex but battlefield is first and foremost a casual large-scale shooter with minor tactical elements. Spread still allows for good players to achieve high k/d and influence the outcome of games, but not simply 1-trick every single round by spraining your fucking hands sweating and twitch aiming.
Playing like this should give you zero additional benefit in a battlefield game. Period.

I had a dream that it had mod support and hostable servers, but then I woke up and remembered that'll never happen again. Battlefield 2 is still my favorite battlefield game of all time (or maybe 2142).

Game will be dogshit. Last good one was Bad Company 2 and servers for that shut down, this will just be 2042 all over again with a Battlefield 3/4 coat of paint.

I think what makes or break is definitely the server browser aspect if it’s fully match making it’s gonna be such a pain in the ass go even attempt 10+ player parties.

MW4 ate it's lunch by basically turning Ground War into Battlefield's conquest mode, so of course they want a little payback. Now is the perfect time, the tables have turned and it's now COD that is the ugly duckling of FPS world, nobody likes it.
