New modes seem alright, but they're not my kind of thing. Everyone feels like a bullet sponge with the armour plates.

Back to Conquest where everyone dies within a second of you opening fire on them, as it should be.

Yeah I'm not wating for a medic who is 50 meters away behind multiple walls. I have waited before for a revive but ended up wasting my time.
I'm also convinced the medic distance meter doesn't even fucking work half the time. I've waited for 10+ seconds for a medic to run over, saw none of them getting closer, gave up, and then heard the defibs buzzing over my corpse as a support runs over to revive me at the last second even though I never saw them on the distance meter. Just another thing that doesn't fucking work properly.

Gauntlet could've been fun if it weren't designed around the plate system. Though, I also dislike the ADHD nature of the mode. It feels like it's tailored directly towards the 7 second attention span Twitch viewer.

Medic weapons are not great, but they are totally usable. The problem isn't weapon parity, its gadget parity. If you have no engineers then a tank will wreck your shit.
I noticed most if not all in-game chat is done in relation to tanks. "Wow thanks guy you let me carry the team to victory by afking on my ass for 30 mins" or "we're losing cause no one is doing the same to our tanks". You need like 3 people actively emptying their RPGs on a tank to kill it. Likewise every 3-4th person is a medic so reviving isn't really seen as an honorable duty.

There's just no class or element to the game that is enticing to pursue. It's all kills kills kills. Jerk off in a tank, jerk off behind a tank, jerk off in a plane, snipe from a corner. There's nothing to do but kill which sounds idiotic but it's how it feels. I've played exclusively non-CoD modes and while sometimes it feels good, rarely does even my 6-7 killstreaks feel rewarding. "Oh I guess I met some enemies who aren't gonna shoot me before turning around".

Honestly they need to add some of the stuff they added to the Battle Royale mode to the base game when it comes to dealing with tanks. Maybe make them replacement end perks for the different classes.

The artillery strike and airstrike in the Battle Royale can be painted onto a tank and it will follow the tank to try and kill it.

There are anti tank jammers you can get too that shut the tank down like it was hit by an EMP

Maybe not all of them should be brought over, but giving the Recon an artillery strike to replace the UAV or giving the medic a jammer that screws with vehicles would go a long way to helping the other classes deal with tanks.

You're free to go back to playing Assassin's Creed: Niggers 'N' Fags at any time...

Sarcasm aside, vehicles are a mixed bag. I've been in games where some have dominated, yet I can't say that my team actually put in enough effort to destroy it. There's enough dense cover in a lot of the maps to flank tanks and hit them with AT mines, and despite having times where there have been multiple engineers stacked on repairing a tank, they can still get annihilated with enough ordnance on it.

I also have the benefit of grouping with some players who have more than time than me to play. We all play Support at one point or another, but only one of us has a negative K/D but has nearly double our revives. Not caring about K/D is really what helps make a great medic, and since most people care about K/D it means you have some losers that are 1m away from you and refuse to revive.

It's battlefield, dude. It's a team game and yes, every once in a while you will need your team to work together to take out a vehicle who's running rampant. On top of that, MBTs and IFVs are not that strong against any remotely competent team. AT mines are free as fuck and the RPG is a railgun. You can even use the LAW if you're so inclined for some free damage and to force the vehicle to back off since they're forced to take that damage if they don't have their smoke/aps up. All it takes is one dude getting behind a tank to kill it in less than 10 seconds with the RPG, place an AT mine and kamikaze, or a recon to place some C4. Throw grenades over the tank to target the repair monkeys, or flank the tank while someone else distracts it to kill them. You can't expect to kill an entire tank with ease just because you have an RPG. It's still a tank.
I'm a bit of a vehiclefag and I love the IFVs in this game, but despite having the rare game where I go 55-0 and spend 3/4 of the match in one it's far more common that I get quickly swarmed and taken out by engineers. Ground vehicles are relatively balanced in this game and I'm convinced that those complaining about it are either tourists or have never played 4. 4 would buck break anyone who thinks the vehicles in 6 are too strong.

Yeah most vehicle drivers in this game are a bit skittish when it comes to damage. I've driven a few tanks and Bradley's off the front line of a fight a few times by killing their pocket engineers and hitting it with a rocket once, causing the driver to panic and run to get healing done.

The BR blows. If you get a tank it means you win, and Recon is pretty much the de facto class to play. The missions mechanic is pretty cool, and the map is big, but otherwise not interesting or fun.
You'd think that Battlefield would translate well into the battle royale formula: team synergy, big maps, multiple vehicles, destructible environments. It's not fun having to die and redeploy into another match.

In the br you get one free redeploy before your out and need a teammate to manually redeploy you, so as long as your team isn't braindead you can last a decent amount of time.

Vehicles aren't nearly as bad as people claim they are. The game drops you anti vehicle gear all the time, the artillery barrage and air strike can be painted on a vehicle for better accuracy on said vehicle, there a vehicle disabling jammer you can get, and I swear rockets are dealing more damage to the tanks in this mode than in the standard modes.

I wish they went for more of a Planetside style approach where it's large teams fighting for actual territory control on the large map.

Side note, but I would love to see a Burnout style destruction mode where teams try to rack up as much money as they can destroying shit in the map.

SMGs melt you in seconds. I think they even removed the Initiation BR mode that have bots. Where is the fun in this? Inb4 "gid gud" comments.

Arguably you can say they did this in 2042 with the Conquest 128 mode with the huge maps with zero cover and being divided up into sectors, it just sucks that it was done in 2042 so it was shit and not fun!

Sounds like it would be a very fun mode but I don't think maps in this game have enough destructible things to account for it unless if they made buildings and walls regenerate.

I want to beat the shit whatever asshole gave the specter a blue tint this offensive. You can't see shit through this thing.

Totally have had this same thing happen to me. Even friends in chat I'm playing with say, "I was about to revive."

Where I have not instantly given up, given a little moment to see if anyone is near by or coming.

The battle royale part of Battlefield 6 is frustrating me as I always deploy, die, redeploy, then get overwhelmed and melted.

Seeing as I never played it, what did Firestorm do differently? I played a small amount of PUBG and this BR seems fairly similar.

Well, Firestorm was a one-life affair. You die, you die. I think Firestorm came out when battle royales were starting out. I recall Warzone initially being one life only as well. BF6's battle royale gives players second chances and allows redeployments from surviving squad members.

Played more BR, Tanks aren't that hard to kill. I killed one with 3 RPG shots; the tank's healing is severely nerfed in BR, and I think it has less health as well. The Repair Tool also repairs much slower in BR than it does in the main game.
