Season 6 doesn't seem to have brought many people back. Most of the games are filled with AI players and getting a breakthrough lobby for redacted with enough players to start is proving a challenge. Seeing so many bots in the game really drives home how absolutely dogshit they are. The Reaper bot QuakeC mod released in 1996 does a much more convincing job of emulating a real human opponent. Battlefield bots move around like a person that's barely played an FPS before.
 
I've played a bit of conquest with 128 players yesterday. No, just no. It's unplayable. I don't know if it's the game or the servers but they can't handle so much stuff going on.

gameplay or technically? way back there were hacked bf3 beta servers, metro with 100 players was such a chaotic retardation it almost felt like classic TFC dustbowl...

Apparently, this issue is due to DICE fucking up on their end, and they had to push out a fix for it:

The game was originally a class based battle royale game that was then slowly transformed into a "classic" Battlefield experience when the bubble popped. There is only so much you can polish a turd, this will forever bea game with an identity crisis weighted down even further by it's horrid state at launch.

if you want battlefield feels, grab bf1 and play operations. it has the battlefield chaos factor but the mode forces everyone to shoot in the same direction while changing maps/areas often enough it doesn't end in a clusterfuck camping match like rush or roaches when the light turns on like conquest.

horde modes suck ass at some point, either because devs think they tack on a shitty progression as carrot on a stick, or it never gets expanded so you're playing the same scripted maps over and over. I rather play zombie army 4 tbh

Did the Phantom shit from 4 ever end up in some autistic conclusion in 2042? I have zero interest in playing it to find out what happened with it but it was some of the worst shit to get the bow. The camo from the boat themed expansion was the only thing I ever used from the Phantom rewards.

I've checked on PC and it's still the same mission and reward (white paint for the rifles).
