The community will hopefully show dedication to their convictions and play the variants they want, whether that be closed weapons, crossplay off or both. If there really is a large audience for this it could certainly hold enough support to maintain some dedicated matches, and this will be more influential as the game's shelf life continues and they look to who is still playing it and engaging with seasonal content.

I'm going to try and do both when I start playing to cultivate the ecosystem I want, I just hope there's enough doing it. 2042's crossplay-off mode was dead right from the start on PS5.

I know this isn't related but 83 had a open demo/beta on steam that dropped and is live.

Just putting this out there in case BF6 shits itself and people need something else to look forward to play.

I really hope they don't fuck this game into the dirt but I'm 50/50 on it. Hopefully portal gets steam workshop/mod support.

I played the open beta the other night. Obviously it's still a WIP but it needs a LOT of work. Was really janky, half the text in-game was in Polish or something, you couldn't go prone and aim properly and there were a lot of other little bugs. I say this as someone who loved Red Orchestra & Rising Storm 2.

BF6 beta was a great experience for me so fingers crossed too.

Here’s some gameplay with bots floating around and some campaign footage about 3/4 of the way into the video. It’s a PlayStation player who got the game early, as the entire game is on the PS5 Disc, and the servers are up.

No, gaming on laptops is shit. Get a desktop gaming rig.

But seriously, perhaps post your laptop specs. 'Laptop' doesn't really mean much, and the vast majority of them aren't going to be able to run BF6.

I've heard rumors that vehicles have in-game radios with licensed songs that you can blast while driving (like Battlefield Vietnam, Hardline, etc.), anyone know if it's true?

Based on those specs I'd say don't get BF6. You really need a decent discrete GPU (which you haven't mentioned). It might be possible to boot the game up with onboard graphics, but it would run at an unplayable framerate. If you go into System About, where I believe you copied the specs from, it should list a 'Graphics Card' at the top. That will tell me more of whether you have onboard graphics only or a discrete GPU.

I see that secure boot shit is still a thing, I wonder if that will affect week one reception much, at least on PC. Then again Wilds was borderline unplayable on PC yet outsold both consoles so something similar might happen for BF6. I noticed a lot of the complaints about that has died not long afterwards so I assume most of the people who complained about it (such as myself) moved on to other pastures, or just gave up and did it anyway.
Either way, might be an influx on PC bricking once the game drops, will keep an eye out.

Unlike MH Wilds BF4 actually looks optomized, and felt optomized in the beta so.
