As expected its just some pseudo modding. You can't actually import new assets. You can only modify existing maps. At least Doom devs released proper mapping/modding tools for Doom Eternal. Maybe Dice still thinks people are too retarded to make maps/mods.
So like Forge in Halo 3?

You can do a lot with just that, don't need custom made assets, 90% of which would just be nude mods and garry's mode tier models.

I'm reading the sparse documentation included with the Portal SDK, and if I'm understanding the highlighted bits below correctly, it should be possible to model things composed of the prefab objects, then animate them using scripting. Think similar to the Star Destroyer, but say a AT-ST, and then kludgely animated using SetObjectTransform function to animate the different objects it's composed of. If I'm right, who needs the ability custom models when you can hack around it?

Yeah, people already talked about how underwhelming this version of the theme is.
On the bright side you can actually hear the BF theme, unlike the noise that was BF2042.

I think that's fucking bullshit and cowardly, take a look at the nonsense the garry's mod steam workshop had to deal in regards to Nintendo, but people still manage to upload their Pokemon mods/addons elsewhere.

That's just one example.

People will find a way to make EA receive DMCAs from official content anyway.
