Am I blind or is there no way to see class counts for the team? Seems like something that should be displayed above each class in the deployment screen. It's always a helpful indicator for whether there's not enough support or engineers on the team.
When picking your class, if your squad mates have a class selected, there is a green dot on the class they have chosen. I have not noticed anywhere else this is visible.

Does that affect weapons selected? One of the ways I kept previous Battlefields interesting was I tried sticking to guns relative to the faction I was playing. Russia got the AKs, US got the M4 , etc.
You still edit the loadout like any other loadout if that's what your asking. Each faction still has access to everything but you can at least make a loadout for each

When you open the Scoreboard, it shows what class everyone is playing on the left-hand side as a symbol

It also shows the symbol over your squad mates' heads.

Yes, mind you that's a low bar.
So far I'd say it's the best Battlefield since at least 1, maybe 4. Multiplayer-wise, anyway.

Yeah, what I had in mind was precise count above the green dots in the deployment screen. Ah well, hopefully they implement it in a patch.

The fact scopes arent locked behind 25 kills or whatever is at least respectable. I love playing medic but shooting darts felt uneventful as fuck, and people force themselves to respawn the second they die, making reviving completely irrelevant.

Is medic any good this time around?

How did they fuck up the class icons this hard? Every other BF game had it down

Assault is fine, Engineer should go back to being the wrench, the Medic one is fine but they should get rid of the stupid slash through the cross. I think the slash is supposed to represent a bandoleer. Recon should go back to how it was in BF 4 or 3.

So I unlocked this thing. It's a pretty fun carbine, though I might have to swap it to single fire when using it. It has a built in supressor as well as a i think 1.75x scope? One of the main things i dislike about this gun though is the fact that 30 rounds is the max you can get on it, and it starts with 21 rounds (1 in the chamber 20 in the magazine.) so you run out fast.

It's the Sig Sauer M7 IRL

The grunts in the military apparently do not like this gun at all, which sucks for them since it's supposed to be the army's replacement for the M4 as well as the replacement for the M249

This is what the military used to replace the M249, the M250 which is another Sig gun,

This is also in the game, you get it at Level 46

Had my first battlefield moment of this game, on accident, where I was on Liberation Peak and said, "You know, I've always been a boots on the ground kind of guy, I'm gonna try and fly a jet!" I proceeded to fly out of bounds cus I had no idea what I was doing, bailed, and made it to A behind enemy lines, and proceeded to use a repair tool to kill the enemy tank that was keeping us from pushing C with it before dying.

Can you autists please give us a clear review of the game on a scale of 0 to 10? I need to know how good/awful it is.
It's quite decent so far, I'd give it based on gameplay so far (I got to level 28 after 12ish hours of gaming): 7/10. My complaints so far: vehicle balance sucks (vehicles feel like they're ported from COD's ground war mode, but with better quality; not as quality as older battlefield vehicles, plus air vehicles suck to fly), maps are too small (the "big" maps, and there are only like 3 of them, feel like medium maps when compared to BF 1/3/4; plus 1 map is only for TDM and smaller gamemodes), open weapons meta (by having open weapons, this leads to only a select few guns being used by and less people playing some classes (I see support and recon being used the least currently), and lastly squads being limited to 4 players (1/4/hardline had 5 player squads and bf2 had 6 play squads iirc).
I haven't play the campaign yet, but from what I hear it's mediocre at best; this is to be expected with a Battlefield game that isn't a Bad Company series.

i think 1.75x scope
The scope in game lets you change the zoom from 1x-5x (I think it goes 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x and then 5x); and I think it's the same keybind (on PC) as the sniper rifle zeroing button.

Played for like 7 straight hours with some friends. So far I'm having fun and I've already shot a couple jets and some helicopters outta the sky with the MBT. My biggest gripe has gotta be the very obvious intent to pad player retention by making every single gun, gadget, skin, and attachment take fucking forever to unlock. The weapon mastery in particular feels even slower than it did in the beta. It's mega annoying. Even just unlocking C4 for recon requires you to spot TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY(250) players ON objectives. The new battlefield devs really enjoy their humiliation rituals.

Also, whoever thinks that having helmets with the ballistic shields folded up is a fucking retard. 2042 was riddled with this ugly shit.

Yeah, I know this one will take some time to complete, unless they make it easier to unlock (but of course they'll sell a bundle eventually that come with said gun skin).

To nitpick some more, I'm glad that knifing is better than 2042, but it's still nowhere as kino as BF3/4/1/V.
