Using 2042's battle pass as a further example, I just did the weekly missions and little more than that, and I still got to 60 on the second-last set of missions, meanwhile everyone else was rat racing and acting like it was the worst crime on earth to finish the thing.
To add to that, Battlefield Hardline had a similar grind with reaching Legend (Rank 150) and completing some challenges and Easter eggs like that Syndicate weapon.

At least players aren’t being banned for boosting or farming XP AFAIK.

Let's be honest: Even if the XP grind wasn't tedious, you would still have bot farms made by people who are too impatient to wait. Modern Warfare 2 was replete with people who were boosting each other through kills; there's always someone who isn't satisfied with just playing the game.
The EXP grind itself isn't truly a big problem and really neither are those servers and the people using them. That's always going to exist. I think it's too slow, but that's only because challenges are locked behind levels in the first place.
The only ones I consider really worthy of complaints are some of those "one-life" missions and more importantly, the weeklies that weren't really tested
I completely disagree. It's not reasonable to expect "normal" players to spend weeks to unlock a single sniper rifle, because that's how long it's going to take the redditors and gamer dads. There's nothing wrong with having long term challenges, I like having those. There's plenty wrong in locking core class gadgets and weapons behind hundreds of hours of grind. I want to play the game for the game itself, not do humiliation rituals to unlock features of the game. I've asked five separate people who have completed the first LMG challenge how they did it. All five of them completed it by sitting in bot servers and intentionally missing bots by shooting above their heads hoping they would get suppression points. The majority of the challenges are worthy of complaints.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Battlefield Universe concept was supposed to kick off from Battlefield 6 before being quietly canceled behind the scenes. That explains the meh story being carried by set pieces and NATO intervention.
we ain't getting a bad company quality campaign again are we?
LMAO Only EA could snatch defeat from the jaws of victory
i guess they had too many people innit? still haven't learned shit with simcity 2013 shitty servers it seems...
continue to be greedy EA, even though the fucking saudis bought you and you have to pay back 55 Billion dollars.

EA does something like this in every other Battlefield game. They enforce it for awhile then they eventually give up. I remember Battlefield 2142 (the sci-fi one with titan mode not the 2042 garbage) had knife only servers they tried shutting down mulitple times due to the extra XP knifing gave. And they tried shutting down servers in BF2 that were focused on people defibrillator farming

They never learn

Yeah but if the challenges were easy, it wouldn't have been as much of a flex killing people on Caspian and Firestorm with the very sniper rifle they were trying to unlock.

It's not like this was remotely challenging. It's really not a flex, the weapon unlocks in 4 were more of a meme than any kind of challenge which was honestly totally fine.

I dunno mate, I'm just not worried about it. It's only been 3 days and some are acting like the servers are going to shutdown a week from now. I have a full-time job and higher responsibilities that take away a huge chunk of my gaming time, yet I don't feel like these challenges are going to be particularly difficult. Would it have been better to simply make the XP grind harder and just shove them under rank unlocks? I guess. 4 separate levelling class ranks like in its predecessors might've been better.

The MP bots are just as retarded as the SP bots
Idk if you played 2042, but I feel the bots are more retarded now then they were in 2042.
This game is good but i hate the sound of women screaming in pain. and I hate that I can't customise my soldier.
If you play squad deathmatch, and a couple of the other game modes, you can unlock the male soldiers. Granted it was a pain in squad deathmatch, and I just unlocked the basic version of the male skin (think it's a male support skin for Pax). However, currently the support characters on NATO are female only.

The more apt word, I think, would be tedious. It's just not fun. Though I do agree some are overreacting but it's irritating enough that I'm happy to bitch about it to people in hopes that eventually DICE decides to unfuck them. It's especially goofy when you compare them to BF4 unlocks. Even 2042 unlocks were simple and fairly reasonable kill assignments.

At least last night, if you spam the "host sever" button you'll eventually get a server. It took a couple of minutes to get one up for breakthrough. I had better success on rush and smaller player modes for portal hosting with bots only (plus keep it password protected if you want to do it solo or with some buddies).

i don't know if that is a good or a bad thing because i still play 2142 from time to time and bot retardation is peak outfuckingskilling sometimes, i've missed more rockets than i would like to admit because a bot went retarded with the hovertank and bumped in a wall, making the tank lift a bit, no player even thinks on doing that, they usually pronedive on the reclamation servers.

also i just saw BF6 guns names and got recommended this video.
funny how some guns have their loicensed name like the kord or L85 but others have their names scrubbed, fucking cuckrights...

Isn't it sexist making nato support female only? What it's implying is that women are only good for support and nothing else.
Well, if women were in the military, they'd be delegated to support roles so take that what you will.
