i don't know if that is a good or a bad thing because i still play 2142 from time to time and bot retardation is peak outfuckingskilling sometimes, i've missed more rockets than i would like to admit because a bot went retarded with the hovertank and bumped in a wall, making the tank lift a bit, no player even thinks on doing that, they usually pronedive on the reclamation servers.

also i just saw BF6 guns names and got recommended this video.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=s8eSca-BdlUfunny how some guns have their loicensed name like the kord or L85 but others have their names scrubbed, fucking cuckrights...
Speaking of the Vector, it starts with 17 rounds by default and can only go up to like 24? I think? It's so retarded.

After finishing all Assault Challenges and using every AR, I can confidently say...THEY FUCKING STINK! Terrible hunks of shit! Use the Carbines as soon as possible, there is NO reason to use ARs, their TTK is sluggish and you'll always lose standoffs by one bullet. The only exception is the G36 - the last AR unlock is terrible, built around headshots. I'm using the M4A1 and it's LEAGUES away from ARs.

I think it might be bugged too or it just counts the flame damage, either way it makes the grenade damage and concussion kills easy in comparison
I think the fire damage from a direct shot stops when you go down. Either way it's awful.

I'm seeing shit like 30 headshot kills in one game and I'm just rolling my eyes.
BF3 challenges were easy enough if you found a server with a 10,000 ticket count. I played a 10'000 tkt Canals Conquest once (it was brutal, never again).
The match took almost 2 1/2 hours and while I got a bunch of unlocks it was a miserable experience. Fortunately the admins had adjusted the kick timer to 5 minutes so you could take an occasional break.

It seems like most of the good shit is locked behind ranks/levels, and class assignments are the only thing worth doing for a few things like C4 and the respawn beacon. Everything else is dogshit.

mastery leveling is ass though.
I will say the average medic in this game is retarded, asides from the ones who don't revive, the vast majority are allergic to using smokes. And on conquest it really blows when your team is retarded and lets the enemy team backcap.
For me, It's Engineers and tanks, Their brains do a blue screen and just shoot at it until it kills them or they run away. They never decide to bombard it with their RPG, often times I'm the only one doing it. I guess it's because everyone is playing like 1 or 2 classes due to the open weapon shit. Good Job, EA.

They also never charge up the fucking paddles so your head gets blown smoove off as soon as you respawn while they canter away with +50 points

I'm hating from outside of the club since I can't even get in, but it seems the only positive thing im hearing is that it's a battlefield game and it isnt terrible like 2042. The details are different but the vibe kind of feels like that first week of Halo Infinite, which sucks because I ultimately want Battlefield games to keep being made (although it would be nice for DICE to allow me to run the fucking thing).
How's everyone feeling on the longevity of this one so far? Are you planning on putting Battlefield 4 hours into it?

In case anyone was curious, if you're a Linux user it doesn't even show the game on the Steam store front page, and if you try to directly search it, it gives you a big fat warning saying you won't be able to play it.

Currently I am really enjoying it, its an instant upgrade over the piece of shit that 2042 was and I find myself enjoying the gunplay more than any other Battlefield. However, the map diversity is pretty low and it could really use some more vehicles and larger maps. I've noticed that vehicles such as tanks and APCs often go unused which may be because their icons on the deploy map are much smaller. One thing missing is water. I enjoyed the naval aspects of BF4 and maps like Parcel Storm and the Dam.

The game will obviously drop many players over time as is usual but as long as it gets supported the player base should be pretty strong, and I see myself playing it regularly for the future.

If Battlefield holds true to its word, they've already said they are interested in bringing back naval warfare as well as the Little Bird. In what capacity that is remains to be seen, though it would certainly help larger maps feels more expansive.

Holy shit I never picked up from what I was hearing about it that there was no naval combat. That sucks ass the game is like $80 and less feature packed than a title that shipped shortly after the release of the xbone.
The difference is that since then we've learned that talk is cheap. I dont really care what they're interested in adding in the future because the last few years have shown if it isn't currently in the game, you better not count on it (to use my Halo Infinite example earlier, the $60 campaign literally ended with a pinkie promise that there will be a part 2 DLC).

I think them having an immediate roadmap in place that will start at the end of the month is a significant overhaul. Two Capcom games I played in recent years (Street Fighter 6, Monster Hunter Wilds) have suffered from immediate content drought, and BF2042 didn't receive any updates for months after launch. If they can keep the content releasing across the next year at the pace they've set, it would be a real win for BF players as long as it remains un-Fortnited.

That is of course, assuming that support doesn't drop off following GTA 6's release, or next year's CoD.

AFAIK, there hasn't been any naval combat in Battlefield post-BF4, so it would be a nice return regardless. 2042's Portal of Noshahr Canals doesn't count - that really isn't naval combat at all.

Thus far, EA has been pretty forthcoming about what they've done with BF6, so I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt on this one. At worst, they'll say something like, "We've decided this is not the path forward with Battlefield 6" or whatever.

I'd miss it, but it's not a deal breaker for me. Halo: Infinite on the other hand, I think the removal of local co-op was sacrilegious.

I guarantee mines are the first thing getting nerfed. Every match I join has mines everywhere, you get too many, and the fact that it's unlocked from the start means people have nothing else and just throw them down for the hell of it. It makes getting in a vehicle a death trap.
Half the problem with mines is how small and little freedom you have on some of the maps. You end up forced into taking one or two routes so mines mines mines on them.

Apparently, anyone placing "MAGA" in their clan tag is getting permabanned. Cool. Now do it for people who place Left Wing political movements in theirs too.

Rate me dumb, but am I the only one who thinks that this game is a little bit overhyped?
I really want the Battlefield franchise to come back to its former glory, don't get me wrong, but this just isn't it for me.
It's certainly better than the previous 2 dogshit games we got, but it doesn't really seem that special compared to other FPS games, and it doesn't feel like the previous Battlefield games I liked.
This feels more like nu-COD without the gay shit + some Battlefield mechanics sprinkled on top.
I get a feeling that people who keep talking about how great this game is are just doing it to dunk on the modern COD audience (which is fair, tbh.)

Ehh, who am I kidding? Maybe the times of BF2BC/BF3/BF4 really are long gone, and I'm just getting old.

While I can't say myself since I haven't played, I think people are just happy that (for now) they got a decent BF game. Sure this game isn't perfect or even close to BF's peak, but decent is leagues better than dogshit.
That being said, no you're certainly not the only one, I've seen people on the Steam forums, the BF subreddit if you could believe that, and a few forums here and there saying it's overhyped. Not this Raven guy though, MF spent 16 hours in 2 days alone (and he's not slowing down) doing nothing but playing BF6 and will spend God knows how many more hours either talking about BF6 or defending BF6 from the mildest of criticism.

Having the wrong opinion in politics is no different than fascism, racism, sexism, and every other ism out there CHUD.
