I honestly didn't think it was that hard to gain the Mastery levels, but I also wasn't grinding sniper rifles or DMRs. In keeping with my themed loadouts, I have both factions equipped with different weapons for each class, and progress has been steady and enjoyable. It was already a plus that most guns have an optic right from the start as opposed to iron sights.

Bruh how does your tank even stay alive that long?? Every game where I have the hubris to think I can Tank I have exactly 0 engineers on my team so no heals outside of the tanks regen and the enemy team has like 20 engineers all firing rockets at me at the same time. I have lasted at most like 10 min tops.

Honestly it was just the perfect storm/stars aligning sort of game. My tank driver was a stud. He knew how to move around, when to stay in a fight, when to back up, and of course we had like 2 or 3 engineers on us at all times, and probably the right tank attachments. Then with me, I've been riding around in tanks and other vehicles as a secondary gunner since bfbc2, so I know my way around and have good aim. It was like playing whack-a-mole, any sight of the enemy and there was a 50/50 shot they were dead within 2 seconds. But make no bones about it, the enemy really tried their damnedest to take us out. We probably got hit with over 40 rockets, hit with multiple mines, designated, you name it. But god bless those engi hearts, they're a big part of the reason for the game our team had. The unsung heroes.

The challenge for 300 supressions is fucking balls and I hope whoever made it stubs their toe in the middle of the night on a weekly basis for the rest of their life. This shit is going to take a fucking year becuase theres no way to actually get it done.

There's 100% something broken with lmg suppression, i get more enemy supressed points shooting people at 200m with the m277 than any lmg

PC specs? Also post all your graphics settings. Some settings like to kill performance while not really impacting the image in a meaningful way.

Oh no, doxing my PC.

AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 12-Core Processor 3.80 GHz
RAM 32.0 GB
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti (12 GB)

Running of an Samsung Evo Plus 1TB SSD

Windows 10

On a 1440p HDR monitor.

With DLSS, from Ultra to Low, basically no difference in performance. Some rounds the game really struggles, everything constantly rubber bands and it'll have stuttering and sometimes be slow mo stuttering. Tends to happen on 64 player maps, but not every time.

Last night I was playing mostly on high/ Ultra settings (by acciedent from playing around), it was 80-100 FPS and fine. Got into a round of conquest or escalation on Iberian and it became unplayable. Dropped everything to low, it was still really bad. Next map fire storm conquest and back to acceptable.

Something is stopping it from running properly. Even when good, I should be getting better.

I've done the user.cfg to tell it cores ect for the CPU. I think that improved things but didn't fix.

On this system I play all other recent Battlefield games on high settings at high frames completely fine.

For any recon bros that didn't know, the rangefinder is no longer just a tool for measuring range. When you hold B it now ranges your rifle to the exact range you're aiming and completely eliminates any skill from the equation. It's both extremely stupid and extremely funny.

So in Combustion/Scorched Earth map

I usually take the highest tower refinery thing as an Eagle's nest for me to snipe folks
and one time, i was killed by 3 opposing players and they took my camping spot.

Eventually I decided to get one of those anti-infantry vehicles, and through trial and error of angling and range, used the vehicle's weapon rounds in such a way that i essentially artillery striked the location and killing all enemy snipers.

since after a certain distance, the round would always curve down due to gravity.

I think I figured out why the game won't let you start servers. If you look on any playlist and enable passworded servers, there's a bajillion servers with 0/64 players.

I don't think it's an anti-grind conspiracy, I think that n00bs are clicking the "persistent server" checkbox that the game gives you and logging off when they're done, filling up the roster with a bunch of unusable servers. Presumably EA has a server limit for the simple fact of not having unlimited hardware, but they should be culled after a few hours of not having any activity.

Anyway, best BF game in a long time, very fun.

Good, people that cheat in games deserve the rope.

I remember some outlet tried to put out some sympathetic fluff piece for some cheater to make them out to be some downtrodden little troglodyte who can only enjoy video games like the rest of us through cheating. It was roundly rejected by the audience (pretty sure it was a youtube video). Like sorry you're blind or disabled or gay, but you don't get to ruin other people's enjoyment without blowback. Go fucking play mario kart or some sony movie and piss off. Thankfully the only obvious cheating/exploitative dickheads I've seen are the ones that get on top of inaccessible buildings, and they usually get sniped down anyway so it's not that big a deal, but still annoying nonetheless.

Cheating in Battlefield should be a sign for those ppl to quit gaming overall

i mean i get using cheats in singleplayer games
but using it in multiplayer games... is the epitome of being pathetic.

Haven't looked too much into it, is the singleplayer worth playing for unlockables, do you get anything good out of it?

edit : here it is

The game features several types of rewards: for completing missions, collecting hidden items, finishing special challenges, and mastering the highest difficulty level. Below is the full list of all rewards available during the campaign.

Mission Rewards

Each story mission grants a unique cosmetic reward — ranging from profile backgrounds to character or weapon skins. For completing the main story, players receive:
  • “Infiltrator” — profile title for completing Always Faithful.
  • “Standard Issue” — base character skin for The Rock and Night Raid.
  • “Raging Waters” — profile background for Operation Gladius.
  • “Home Invasion” — profile background for No Sleep.
  • “Shield Bearer” — profile title for Moving Mountains.
  • “Bighorn HK-16” (melee weapon) and “Carnivore” bundle for the final mission Always Forward.
  • “Elegant Ballistics” — a premium weapon bundle unlocked only after completing the entire campaign on the highest difficulty.
Even a standard playthrough grants a solid set of skins and cosmetics for your profile, all of which carry over to multiplayer.

Collectible Rewards (Dog Tags)

Each mission contains between two and four collectible dog tags hidden in remote areas, rooftops, or near key objectives. Collecting all tags within a mission unlocks an additional reward:
  • Always Faithful — Dead Center dog tag.
  • The Rock — Danger Ahead profile background.
  • Operation Gladius — Elite Raider profile icon.
  • Night Raid — Urban Sprawl skin for Recon.
  • No Sleep — Gridlock skin for Support.
  • Moving Mountains — Career XP Booster bonus.
  • Nile Guard — Canopy Drop vehicle camouflage.
  • Operation Ember Strike — Gridlock skin for Assault.
  • Always Forward — Urban Sprawl skin for Engineer.
Collecting all 30 dog tags across the campaign grants the ultimate reward — the “Winner Take All” tag, marking 100% campaign completion.

Special Challenges (Expert Challenges)

For players seeking extra difficulty, Battlefield 6 includes a series of “Expert” challenges that can be completed in any mission but require specific conditions:
  • Complete a mission without firing a gun — Polar Nexus weapon camouflage.
  • Finish a mission without respawning — Deathheader title.
  • Complete a mission using only a pistol — Hardware XP Booster.
  • Achieve 30 headshots — Breach profile background.
  • Get 10 melee kills — Safeties On profile icon.
These tasks significantly increase the challenge but reward players with rare cosmetics that make their profiles stand out.

Ultimate Campaign Reward

After completing every mission, collecting all dog tags, and finishing all Expert Challenges, players unlock the most prestigious reward — the “Elegant Ballistics” weapon bundle. This exclusive set features enhanced weapon stats and is only available to those who finish the campaign on the highest difficulty.
The reward system in Battlefield 6 encourages players to explore every corner of each mission and return to the campaign again. There are no random cosmetics here — every item is tied to a specific achievement or discovery. To earn everything, you’ll need both skill and patience.

Man, they need to remove the fucking tower from New Sobek. It basically ruins the map. It's fun, but it's a detriment to the map as a whole. Having competent recons and engineers up there shuts down like 70% of the map. It's almost a guaranteed loss if you spawn on the NATO side because you don't get instant access and it's a slog to clear the fucking thing. On top of that, it was a better map without attack helis so if the pax side gets the tower first AND has a better heli pilot you 100% lose and there's really fuck all you can do about it. Whoever is in charge of balancing maps is a fucking idiot.

There are a ton of buildings in this game that aren't destructable that I don't understand, and the tower in New Sobek is one of them. Let us take the fucking thing down if we think it's causing problems

Yea, I'd love to be able to destroy it and have D be changed into a more dynamic point. It's extraordinarily frustrating the way that there's so much of this game that's so close to being right but there's just one or two little things that fuck it up like the addition of a helicopter where there shouldn't be or a building that fucks a map up. The maps are easily the biggest weakness of the game right now. I have 3 of the 9 maps removed from my search parameters and that's fucking dire. They should have just launched the game with remakes of BFs greatest hits.

Found this on accident, they really need to let us blast numetal out my tank while mowing down the server. I saw settings in the menu to config vehicle music volume so its deffo coming
