Bf4 still uses Origin/the EA app as its launcher unless you specifically bought the steam version
Yeah, sorry, I've been up since 4 AM for work, pretty much take the Steam player count and quadruple it for Gamepass, Steam, Epic and EA. So about 4k players on pcBf4 still uses Origin/the EA app as its launcher unless you specifically bought the steam version
No because bf4 has persistent servers and admins. Haven't played since release of bf6 but it was never hard to find a full server running dlc maps at random hoursI’m guessing if you play the Steam version, you’re stuck with that small player count?
No, the PC Versions of all Battlefield games share servers based on their games. BF4 players on Steam can play with BF 4 Players on Epic and so on, there just isn't crossplay with consoleI’m guessing if you play the Steam version, you’re stuck with that small player count?
I remember playing bf4 on console, and there were multiple cases in which I met cheaters during the years 2023 and 2024. Since I haven't played it in years or experienced it on pc, I have no idea what the game's current state is. Would you still recommend bf4 on pc? I wouldnt for the single player but the multi is still good. Progression and unlocks will probably be a pain for some items, especially DLC ones where you need to play modes that were dead a week after release to fulfill the criteria. However you can probably find an empty server running the mode/map you need and when I last played there were still servers dedicated to unlock grinding. You also probably wont see the full map roster for a while of playtime but the game goes down to like 3$ with all the dlc on sale pretty regularly so it's not like you're wasting money getting the premium version over basic.I remember playing bf4 on console, and there were multiple cases in which I met cheaters during the years 2023 and 2024. BF4 is THE vehicle whore game btw all im gonna say is good luck to a new player trying to drive anythingWelp, since it was on sale, I finally bought and played Battlefield 4.
Putting aside the, honestly, pretty crappy campaign, I can see why people like the game. I admit, the scale of the multiplayer matches is quite a spectacle, and even if you go negative in your K/D ratio (like I tend to do), there’s still a role for you to play.
That said though, as someone who is absolutely crappy at using the vehicles, and tends to stick to playing an infantry role, it is rather frustrating to constantly be killed by them over and over, necessitating you play engineer just to have a shot at taking them down.
That, and how tedious it is to level up and gain new weapons and attachments. It seems like a ploy to get the players to invest in those battle packs tbh.
With that said, I am overall liking the game. Just not as much as I would’ve hoped. Course, that could just be because I’m a complete noob who can’t control the air-based vehicles properly to save my life. XD
I haven't heard much about the reboot of Medal of Honor. Its multiplayer I believe was made by Danger Close. Looks to be Battlefield infantry with CoD TTK (time to kill) if that makes sense.Medal of Honor came out in October 2010 (Multiplayer was basically BC2 Afghanistan).
Fond memories using thermal vision in a tank and sniping snipers across maps in BF4. Vehicles are absolutely insane if you invest the time into them.BF4 is THE vehicle whore game btw all im gonna say is good luck to a new player trying to drive anything

I wish I had the original MoH reboot. I've played Warfighter; everything you said about it is true. It ran like molasses, whether in campaign or multiplayer. Only thing I remember about it was its limited edition being sold on clearance weeks after release. It tried to be a movie, then it forgot to be a game.Warfighter however? That was one of the most soulless and bland things I’ve ever experienced. It says something that the only notable thing it has is a stealth section done with cars, and one of the most superfluous breaching mechanics ever made. Beyond that, it is one of the most restrictive and unengaging campaigns I’ve ever played, and a huge sign at the time that the Modern Military Shooter genre was reaching the end of its lifecycle.
