I decided that the direwolf with all the AC2s was boring as shit. I’m trying to work out something kore interesting. I currently have an AC10 in the left arm just because I wasn’t sure what to do with the tonnage, 2 er large lasers in the left torso for some poking at range, atms in the right torso and an UAC20 in the arm for some brawling.

What would be prudent to change? Maybe switch the left arm for one with lasers and allow for more ammo for the other weapons?

I feel like he downplayed how crazy the Liaos are.
Also, anyone have input on the build I mentioned further up?

So The Alpha Strike Starter box got info dumped on what comes with what. Going to pick it up since I could use some of those mechs. Looking to start up some Donegal Guards.

I wanted to pick up Alpha Strike one of these days and the only thing stopping me is it being out of print... guess I'll order this amazing set the moment it comes out, then.

I like Mages videos but the dude needs to chill.

What kind of complaint is that? Ghost Bear renamed their dominion as a show of respect to them and the Inner Sphere in general. If it was any of the other major Clans, they would have been forced to adapt to the Clanner lifestyles & systems instead of having some form of independence. They got it good in the same way I feel the Outworlds Alliance has with the Raven Alliance.

You know, I'm pretty sure Rasalhague absorbed the Bears and not the other way around. Their integration worked so well the Dominion is by all intents and purposes an Inner Sphere nation, but with a Clan-style military. The population still lives as they did pre-3050, the Clanners are effectively answering to the Prince and the council (and conveniently divesting themselves from the tiresome obligation of managing the civvies), and you can still find flatpack Defiance B3M Medium Lasers in every IKEA from Orestes to Richmond.

I don't know what that guy is bitching about, the Rasalhague Dominion is literally the best outcome Rasalhague could have ever gotten, because otherwise they were set to be St. Ives'd if the Clans didn't invade and a Fifth Succession War ended up happening instead.

To be fair a valiant last stand as they get double-teamed by the Steiners and Kuritans Poland-style is about the best ending one could hope for in the pre-Clans Inner Sphere.

I really hate the Jihad-and-Dark-Ages plot progression with a passion and I can't bring myself to warm up with BT in the years of 3145 and following (to the point that the Bruin is the only post-'67 Mech I actually tolerate in my collection), but the one thing I really love is the Rasalhague Dominion. It's a really cool blend of IS and Clan.

Should look into the Scorpio Empire. Clan Scorpion took over Nueva Castle and the Umayyad Calphate in the Deep Periphery. As of 3151 they instituted a new title proclaimed ZarKhan which would be elected by the people. The first ZarKhan is a freebirther of Nueva.

That's kinda cool, too.

Also, I want to mention: Ghost Bear/Rasalhague Dominion Rho Galaxy has a really baller winter camo.

Sorry that is only partially correct. The Scorpion Empire also gobbled up the Hanseatic League turning their realm into an even bigger state and their first ZarKhan is an adopted Hansa freebirth. Also the Scorpions made some forays into the IS via their seekers. For example they made a trial of possesion for the contents of a museum n Solaris VII which included the head of Alexander Kerensky's Orion and they won said trial taking the entire Museum's inventory to their realm.

Also the Rasalhague Dominion will probably going through some shake ups: they had a free minder movement who chafed under the caste like structures. When the Bears secured Vega during the Dark Age they dumped their freeminders there which would grow into the Vega Protectorate. Then they absorbed said Protectorate again. I fear the Dominion might go through some upheavels again. After all we can't have too many opponents to the Wolf IlClan now can we? Then again the Free Worlds League is actually startting to gobble up the Wolf empire which was abandoned by Alaric in his drive to Terra. Interesting times indeed.

Political consequences amongst the Clans of Alaric Ward conquering Terra:

Aw man, I had a soft spot for that place. It's so far off to the side and doing its own thing, they didn't even have an HPG network.
Funny thing is the League also destroyed a Clan warship and 2 clusters (i think it was that) from the Cloud Cobras before the Hanseatic Crusade began. They also went on a hiring spree of IS researchers to prepare themselves for the inevitabler attack of the Scorpions. Before the war began they were able to produce quality IS technology (though no Clan tech and still no HPG's)

Yeah. They've also had the anti-Clan Motstånd Rasalhaguian nationalist group pop up and cause trouble every so often, IIRC. I guess if the Dracs couldn't manage to completely wipe out those feelings the Bears don't have a chance in hell either. And said group is competent and capable enough the CGB part of the Dominion had to create a suit of BA specifically to help take them down, the Constable.

Not sure if the Motstand is still a thing. In Era report 3145 it is noted that the Motstand lost their leader Cilla Amdahl and several of their units (called the Snapphanar) during the 3125 Motstand resurgence (it even sounds like as if the Motstand was wiped out). The main question will be how the Dominion will deal with the IlClan. while they achknowledged alaric as Ilkhan I doubt the Bears actually want anything to do with him. They have their very peaceful corner of the IS and they haven't had many problems to deal with. Yes they lost a few trials against the Horses but those were usual trials of possesion. They will most likely glare across the border of the Combine but do nothing (though there might be Rashalhagians agitating for action)

According to Sarna they've gone underground and have stuck to posting up propaganda. Only a matter of time until they start shooting again, then...
