Heavy Gauss Slipnir is peak. First headshot too in that match.

Alright guys, I have some tabletop games supposed to be coming up on Sunday. For one of the games, I was given the following orders: Pick three mechs from Master Unit List, no homebrew, no superheavies, no other restrictions. Any era, tech level, faction, etc. is all on the board. No BV restrictions either. This game is meant to be friendly rather than competitive of course. The only other rule is that we need to know the rules for how stuff works. Should not be an issue as we have a copy of total warfare. I have no idea what I want to go with, so I'm going to ask this thread. I'll go with the first three responses, no questions asked. Thanks in advance.

I should clarify. There is already an Urbanmech only game where I will be running the Arrow IV urbie. That I'd a separate game, though.

Bring a Thor U, jump into a lake and dare them to answer your Torpedo Batchall.

The average Steiner scout lance of course.
Either that or the Blake version with Dominus, Luminos, and Berith.

Surprised I haven't seen something like that pop up in one of the video games.

"Intel says your expected opposition is just a lance or two of Steiner scout mechs, so nothing too serious."

Cue the mission being a lance of Steiner scout Mechs.

Ironically despite its association with House Steiner the Kuritans are the biggest Atlas users since aside from Hesperus its built in Al-Na'ir and Quentin, both Kuritan systems, the Lyrans themselves preferring the Zeus for its speed and flexibility.

Any of you guys played Mechwarrior Destiny? I've had the book for a while and my friends are getting antsy about playing. Combat wise I'd kinda prefer to just run it as classic/TW since we're all comfortable with it and can play pretty fast at this point. We're normies so starting date will probably be 3040-45ish. Any insight or words of caution would be appreciated.

The only thing i'm 100% sure of is to bring an Awesome 9Ma. 3 ER PPC's, a Command Console, ECM and extra comm gear so you can do satellite uplink and ghost target stuff.

Then maybe a Fireball ALM-XF, but that's only for the absurd 16/24 [40] speed

Hell if i can figure out a third one that isn't an old Star League-era Exterminator or the THG-11ECX José

Its...weird.

There is no "DM" as everyone will take turns "Taking the Mic" and doing stuff. I know of a local group who plays in my store who just has one DM. I do know its far easier to get into Destiny then it is for A Time of War.

I remember something like that happening in Roguetech when I last played it a year or two ago. I had too many """ambushes""" so I was once again vindicated for bringing the nukes.
