Mech frog did a good video on the manticore tank. One of my favorites!

MWO is adding the gauntlet using the bushwhacker model. Basically a IS Omni bushwhacker Adam "my home planet" Steiner wanted. It's an OK mech. Kinda feels lazy but they're grooving on the mix tech. The clan archer is still probably the most OP in the game.

Id really Iike MWO 5 clans or something to add the Sunder and the avatar.

Sunder has that hilarious fuck you infantry build it's also brutal against BA. If memory serves it was made (because you need an assault mech for this) deal with Blake's cyborg Mano Domni who could 1v1 normal people in BA.

You take everything back you said about the k2 its not meme, it is love. I'm not even a drac but it looks kick ass and it's a great fire support unit esp in its intro tech setting. Since most don't use infantry I'd not kind the MGs to something else tho.
I too love the pocket Awesome.

Clan Invasion stuff is on the way.

Yeah I just got the notif on steam, did Clans flop so hard they have to start making DLC for this game again? Clan Invasion DLC no less? Fucking kek. Hope that mean Piranha is on their way out the door.
 
Teaching my girlfriend the classic tabletop game. She kept trying to walk through water to fall over. First round of our second game, she rolled snake eyes on a PSR (4 or better), fell down right side, rolled 2 crits, and hit both her SRM and LRM ammo in right torso. GG no re.
Any recommendations for good 1v1 combos or good things to learn 2 mech teams? I was thinking some kind of Thunderbolt and the Wolverine with the large laser. The idea is to cooperate as a team with her against some of the other people I occasionally play with in the real world.

I wish they'd dedicate one DLC towards fleshing out your pilots so they are more than just a stat sheet and a portrait.

Even MW3 and MW4 put more effort into fleshing out your lancemates and made the gameworld you inhabited feel more alive.

That would imply putting in more effort into their game than just a handful of randomly generated mission presets to pad out the occasional story mission.

I really wish someone would make an honest attempt at developing a proper BattleTech cRPG, though I don't think there's a single developer left on the market with the necessary skill or passion to do the project justice.

Anyone who didn't run Aisa Thaustus as their second lance commander was a fag. Especially since her per-cycle salary was a big fat zero thanks to her status as bondswoman.
 
Clan Invasion DLC is probably the smartest thing they've done in a while since unless they're retarded, it saves up God knows how much money just to reuse assets. AND including the Battle of Tukayyid (which let's be real, they'd have to be beyond retarded not to include it, even if they'll probably drop the ball on it)? If Clans did fuck them over, this might just save their asses.

Much as I don't like them, Owlcat might be capable of doing that. Will it be good? I probably won't like it but maybe. Otherwise, the BT PC game with mods and MegaMek is the closest we'll get.

Kind of? The AI is retarded so it shouldn't be too performance demanding, especially on campaign set pieces where the AI is largely "defend here, shoot there." Chances are your unit will be put on less important skirmishes, but if they do plan on using a proper battlefield it'll be downsized to hell and basic like all these missions are. Your unit will no doubt take on Blake knows how many Stars and other elite units down like they're jobbers (remember the final battle in the main story), and will claim copious amounts of Clan tech with zero Comstar or Houses batting an eye.

Its the Clanners that are supposed to yolo zerg rush to their deaths, not the ComGuards.
Like I said, they'll use the basic zerg rush for Clanners and basic "defend here, occasion move to point B" for Comstar like other missions. They'll save anything special for the AI for named characters, and only barely special.

Coyote's Mission Pack? Any BV changers in there?

Although with the DLC announcement this is a reminder that I need to get off my ass and grind out the last few big missions in my campaign. On the final stretch since I took down their comms relay and then its the spaceport and then the big showdown itself.

Apparently they were going to do that and there is stuff in the game files that point to the pilots having more of a story behind them but its all cut content,
