Taking your original question at face value implies a belief that beating people is a serviceable solution to solving problems in general. You want an explanation for what you see as an irrational prohibition on using it on one's parents.

You can answer your own question by working out the logic from your own starting point: that an individual subject must justify NOT being beaten. So ask yourself this: why is it socially acceptable to beat dogs? Or women? Or infants? Why is it OK to beat these people, but not your parents? What makes parents so special?
