Becky lost her job because AL was calling and whining about being left alone, she needs Becky there to see her die slowly everyday all day.

She walks by while Becky is filming, she knew what was going on, and checked up on her doing it, probably at her request.

Maybe Becky is a Lyft or Uber driver? Postmates or Grubhub? do they have that in her area? Could that be why Amberlynn kept saying no one should drive in that snow? Different hours?

I'm curious why they would feel the need to distract from this particular announcement. You'd think Timon and Puumba here weren't impervious to common-sense criticism with one-half (but 94% of the combined mass) of them being a Slaton-shaped malignant growth on Kentucky.
 
That transition from Becky's Tragic Backstory to Al shitting herself over lunch is just offensive.

Maybe I'm too soft, but I do believe Becky is not quite mourning, but remembering the last fond memory she had with him, how she'll never share another Christmas with him, how she'll never know him as he grows up, etc. He may not have passed near the holidays, but it's possible that she's watching parents with other kids opening presents and feeling a sense of loss.

I feel bad for her. She doesn't have a job to distract her anymore, just Al being a sped over tubed turkey meat. Fuck that.

Edit: I reread my post, and I guess that would be considered mourning.
 
I don't believe for a minute that Al didn 't know Necky was filming. When has this bitch ever been without her phone for that long?

The fact that she and Amber both think that they actually have a handle on their problems is ridiculous.
 
I think what bothers me most about this is that Becky opening up like that could have been just as therapeutic for her if Amber had left the footage out. Becky would still have vented and moved on, IF she is as troubled by it as she says. But no, Amber had to put it on the internet where it'll be forever now. What does that say about Amber? She'll just say that Becky wanted her to put it in, blah blah.
 
It's awkward that she's still crying over him like that this many years down the road and screams 'I want attention' to me. I know everyone grieves differently but there are people out there that have lost significant others or children in pretty tragic ways that don't act like this. Do they get sad? Sure, but having a meltdown on Youtube and going into a depressive funk for 6 months is a little extreme.

Someone in the infamous FB group is from Amber's area. They said there was never a state of emergency.

Thank you. I couldn't quite put my finger on what was bothering me about Becky bringing up her nephew's death.

When I mentioned that Becky started talking to Amber around the time her depression hits, was because Becky said she tries to be around family and friends when it hits her.

So Becky was going through her seasonal depression (I suspect that it might be a mix of SAD and other personal stuff including her nephew's death). She's sad, stuck on a traumatic event, and alone. Her friends have partners, as do most of her family members. She might not have all the support and attention she needed until she met Amber.

Becky was, at that point in time, a perfect victim to Amber. I bet she even enjoyed the clinginess and over the top reactions Amber has.



One more thing, if what Becky said is true, she wasn't fired (someone else mentioned this, but the multiquote didn't work right), he quit. That means no unemployment money.
 
Just reading over everything, and I am still thinking it was a manipulation play on both their parts to detract from JobGate -- sort of like how we had distractions from Cat/RafeGate.

I'm not saying that Becky didn't truly get emotional when talking about her nephew -- but like others have said its a bit ODD to get SO emotional 10 years on. That isn't to say its impossible that her emotions at that moment were not real. If you get yourself so wrapped up and talking about something in depth like that, a lot of people WOULD find themselves crying and very emotionally re-living the fresh grief.

I don't for a moment believe this level of grief is what she lives with daily, or even for what she said, the 5-6 month period per year she's "upset".
What I think we have happening is two people who are massively manipulative in different ways working together to put up a specific front.

Toxic Perfect Storm.
 
Becky is no newbie to the youtube scene, she watches plenty of videos to know how many views this would get, slippin in the middle, her & Hamber sneakin around about her quitting her job, "im on vacation", okay.. As a couple, and working at home, down eachothers throats, im sure Hambers told her how many ads will make the most money to support the both of them. She knew this video would make money when she started started filming. Im sure Amber told her plenty of times to talk about losing her job "when its right", Amber doesnt need too much youtube stress at once, after all, its bad for her heart.. LOL. After nearly 10 years Necky thinks its okay to exploit her nephews death. Im sure it does hurt her to talk about, but nearly not as much as the guilt she must feel for exploiting herself/and her grief for all the money she can from Ambers shitstorm youtubee life. Ashame Amber *is* the reason she lost it. But not suprising.
 
When I finished watching the video a thought crossed my mind. What if this was a set up so Becky could start her own channel with Amber manipulating things behind the scenes?
They could be able to get a clean slate, regain the subscriber very fast (for reference, Eric's channel gained a huge number of subscribers because of his connection to Amber), and because Becky is less disliked than Amber, the level of hate would go down.

Then I remember that Amber is a self-centered bitch and would never give away the spotlight.
