This was a pretty fun kids show. It helped that Man of Action was made up of some pretty good guys and they always hired some talented writers like the late great Dwayne McDuffie.

I just like how Way Big is very obviously inspired by one of the Ultras from the Ultraman franchise.
I used to train Microsoft Bing's ad algorithm as a subcontractor and it was funny seeing searches for "way big" turning up both Ben 10 action figures and gay porn websites.

Feel bad for kids today having no good action cartoons. Generator Rex by the same guys was kino and is responsible for a lot of my interest in grotesque mutant creatures to this day.

The show shaped a generation. But the show had a reboot, and the characters look very different from their original designs.

And Kevin ended up absorbing him twice: Once in Omniverse, when he was 12, and again, when he was 17, in Ultimate Alien. Kevin 11 2, his mutation after absorbing the Omnitrix while he was fighting Ben (as Eye-Guy), actually had physical traits of Way Big, such as his head fin-horn-thing, but the build of Cannonbolt, Upchuck, Arctiguana, and Spitter. Ben, Gwen, and Grandpa Max were lucky that he didn't, like Four Arms, inherit the height and body type/build of the strongest strength form out of that set: Way Big (M.Bison voice, OF COURSE!).

I never liked Omniverse's art style, and I do find myself imagining what Kevin's two 11 forms would look like in either the Original Series, or Alien Force/Ultimate Alien styles, because I actually DO like the combinations:

Way Big, both his forms, if you count the Ultimates as separate entities, were brilliantly used in their solo fights, namely throughout Ultimate Alien: defeating that Garbage Monster, with "Mulder and Scully" tagging along with Ben, Gwen, and Kevin, and even though Ultimate Way Big was beaten by Diagon, that tornado energy disk thing he did, which actually caused Diagon pain, was neat.

Which Ben 10 alien would you fuck? For the purposes of this hypothetical assume the alien species, not the transformations themself since Ben 10 only transforms into male aliens (a slight issue if you do not have The Gay™) and because technically those transformations are still a 10 year old boy which is kinda pedophilic and we would rather not do that.

XLR-8 is pretty cool, lithe and well built. Would fugg.
She's not XLR8, but I found Helen to be quite cute when I first watched Alien Force. Same thing with Starfire in Teen Titans.

I will not elaborate

Kids love the og Ben 10. Nobody likes the reboot design. Just what were they thinking?
And everyone disliked how he was made more immature as time went on. In AF, he had reached quite a bit of character development but he was made to act like his old childish self because they thought that the fans liked it. What they liked was the nostalgia, not the immaturity.

It sucks that “cartoon” is such a toxic label that most animated action-y things try to label themselves “anime” (like the Duolingo “anime”.) I hope one day for the sake of the kids we start making some awesome action cartoons again.
