Some InfoWars fag says Ben's going to get to enjoy prison:

Sounds pretty :optimistic: to me but I frankly don't think the weird shit going on in this bankruptcy is legal and may be some kind of criminal bankruptcy fraud. It's not how any auction I've ever seen in a bankruptcy case operates. Secret auctions where the secret bidder who won was allowed to put up a bunch of imaginary funny money that doesn't even exist?

tl;dr The auction for Infowar's assets was very shady, and even the judge agrees.

Alex Jones also said that Trump is paying close attention to this case, which is interesting (if true). It would be very funny if Ben Collins gets in trouble for this somehow, but I'm keeping my hopes low.

Speaking of Ben, I feel like he's been quieter than usual on social media.
Here's his response to the auction drama:

He recommends reading this blogpost, which basically just says that the sale is going to happen (in the The Onion's favor) anyway, and no one is going to save Alex Jones.

Unrelated, but funny:
The Onion is Bluesky's top news source, as Ben proudly boasts.

LMAO at The Onion, George Takei and AOC being some of the most followed accounts on the platform. :story: Sounds like some kind of joke or parody, but no, Bluesky really is just that silly.

Check out some of the other top accounts, btw: https://vqv.app/

Hmm... something fishy and unprecedented going on with an Alex Jones case?

Imagine my shockTM

The hearing that was supposed to happen today was rescheduled for next month. 😴

The Onion’s bid for Alex Jones’ Infowars hangs in the balance as judge orders new hearing

Ben Collins hasn't said anything interesting on social media.

Babe, wake up, a new coup just dropped! No, not on Twitter, this one's a Bluesky exclusive!
I'm guessing he's talking about the South Korea thing? Where's the proof of the hour plus lead that Bluesky had? A quality journalist like Ben should promoting whoever had the story first, but like always, he's making shit up.

edit: Or is he referring to Sarah Jeong supposedly being there? I haven't kept up with the story too closely.

The Onion's purchase of Alex Jones' Infowars stopped by US judge

(Don't get too excited. Basically, there's just going to be a do-over for the auction.)

Ben Collins has been pretty quiet on social media over these past few weeks. This is the only thing he's said about the latest development in the case:

tl;dr He's disappointed but still intends on trying to purchase Infowars in the next auction.

In my uneducated opinion, I think the key aspect here is that the judge rejected Alex Jones' claims of collusion between The Onion, the trustee, and the Sandy Hook families (even though the collusion was painfully obvious...). 🙄 So what's going to stop them from doing the exact same thing in the next auction? Probably nothing, tbh.

If the families really are allowed to offer their "potential earnings" from Jones' bankruptcy (up to $1.3 billion or whatever) as part of The Onion's bid, then obviously they will win. No one will realistically outbid that, even though the money doesn't actually exist.

So what's going to stop them from doing the exact same thing in the next auction? Probably nothing, tbh.

Actually if they follow the auction rules they won't be able to do it again.

The reason The Onion had the purchase canceled is the auction made bids secret, and then they joined with "the families" to pool the money. Both of these are not allowed in such bankruptcy auctions by the state. If the auction happens like it is mean to they will not be allowed to join forces nor would the bids be allowed to be secret.

Can’t wait to see Ben Collins’ “funnier Internet” and what he’ll do with Infowars when the corrupt judge allows him to cheat the auction again to buy it.

Will it be just like what he’s done to The Onion, where he takes something actually funny and runs it into the ground?

Yes

The Onion hasn't been funny since a couple years before wokeshit even took off massively.

Having this humorless, joyless faggot take it over is more just the last nail in the coffin. The death was a long time ago.

True, but any hope of it ever being funny again was taken out back and shot by this obnoxious faggot when he bought it. Not a great business investment. Neither is buying InfoWars, because anyone that used InfoWars know it’s gone and the rest of society has never even heard of it.

"OK we tried beating the dead horse and that didn't work.

"So now we're going to set it on fire." -Ben Collins business plan.

News about the Alex Jones bankruptcy drama.

And there was a settlement reached yesterday with (some of) the Sandy Hook families:

Sounds like there will likely be another auction for the InfoWars assets, and The Onion is expected to participate.
After the previous sale to the Onion was blocked in court, the bankruptcy trustee received a new bid from First United American Companies - a company affiliated with one of Jones’ supplement selling businesses - for more than double the company’s previous $3.75 million offer.

The trustee expects to receive a new bid from the Onion as well, and he will evaluate both offers before seeking court approval for a new auction, Wolfshohl said.

Ben Collins seems to be giving up on other social media platforms besides Bluesky (for now).
Note the inactivity on Twitter and Threads:

No reaction to the latest InfoWars news from him on Bluesky, and he's still being oddly quiet there in general. Maybe he's been too busy running The Onion. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Check out The Onion's Bluesky account, btw (since it's probably Ben operating it). Kinda funny to me that it's (somehow) one of the top 4 most-followed accounts on Bluesky despite being so boring & cringe. Says a lot about the Bluesky userbase.
