Bipartisanship is the cornerstone of virtually all politics. It is extremely difficult to create a supermajority in a democratic state, so parties have to compromise to get passable legislation.

well I think it shows that Lolcows have poor track records when it comes to running for office, but that’s partially why they’re Lolcows. On the winning side you have I guess Trump if you consider him to be a lolcow, me personally I don’t, and Rob Ford although I don’t think he has a thread, and on the loser’s side you have on the top of my head:
  1. Brianna Wu, who ran twice for a US house seat, spent nearly all of his campaign money on shitty ads and motorcycle fuel in his first campaign and dropped out midway in his second campaign to run a SuperPAC with Cenk Uygur that was paying people to vote democrat.
  2. Sargon, who killed an entire political party by association.
  3. Cenk himself, who ran a shitty congressional campaign and then tried to run for president despite not even being American.
  4. Will Stancil, whose campaign was the target of trolls making him look like this massive Neo-nazi and harassing his opponent.
  5. Keffals, who ran for the Communist party of Canada, a small third party that barely got any votes.
  6. Mike from PA, who only ran as a democrat because his Republican mother lost a primary to the guy he ran against and he got pulled off the race because he lied about being a lawyer.
  7. And now this lady, who while she didn’t kill a political party she had momentum from being arrested at an anti-ICE protest that faltered because she spent more time with Hasan than going to congressional campaign events and then tried to have an October surprise by using a sex scandal against her opponent that was basically nothing.
And I’m sure there’s more that I am forgetting.

As bad as Sargon's campaign was, that isn't really true. He failed miserably because he ran when he was still a lolbertarian type and was too naive on how dirty the UK political game really was, but UKIP was sunk by Farage leaving them to dry and refusing to help when he was the pillar of the entire party and the kingmaker. Looking back it is obvious that Farage was straight up sabotaging the party and he never wanted it to win, so getting Sargon and Dankula on board and pushing them on a normie audience without any support from the actual political heads might have been done on purpose to sink UKIP so he could move on to the next grift.

I get your point and agree with it, but I also think the natural outcome of any “blue collar” leftist is to become a champagne socialist the moment they gain any money or power. They were always part of the establishment, they were just poor enough at some point to not seem like it.

Meh, I wouldn't lump Kat's campaign in with the other duds*. It's just that Illinois is a very normie Democrat state; a candidate (especially a carpetbagger) like her would always struggle and I can't honestly call finishing 2nd in a crowded primary and losing by just 5% bad.
In fact, I would say that Kat's campaign probably has gone the farthest among the e-celebs if it wasn't for Brandon Herrera winning his primary outright earlier this month.
*I'd say the same for Will Stancil actually - trolling notwithstanding, he at least had the foresight to keep his campaign offline and was rewarded with 35% of the vote in a three-horse race.
