Ideology doesn't matter, intellectual consistency doesn't matter, principles don't matter, it's about hating and resenting the culture they grew up in and doing everything they can do destroy it. Either they had unhappy, socially isolated childhoods (a la Moviebob) or were brainwashed into this belief by professors who taught Howard Zinn as gospel. That's why they're a bunch of fishbelly white people 'ironically' calling for white genocide. That's why they cheer for open borders and chant about how "America was never great". That's why they constantly rant about the police but also keep demanding the police round up anyone who disagrees with them. That's why they mendaciously call free speech "violence" but are all too eager to use violence to quell free speech.
The "wtf i hate/love ____ now" meme does more to accurately describe the mindset of SJWs than any in-depth research into their motivations, as that research reveals a rabbit's warren of contradictory beliefs and behaviors that would overwhelm normal people with the amount of cognitive dissonance required to sustain that mindset. They're cultists, plain and simple.
Exactly. Post-Modernism fits the spoiled, narcissistic generation of social media users. It holds no facts, no truths, no reason. Only what you feel and think. That's why you have the social sciences rapidly deteriorating, which includes psychology. All of their research is basically tainted. If you investigate social science thesis and papers, you'll see dissertations that are basically blog posts filled with meaningless jargon to make them look academic. Actual human behavioral research which incorporates biological systems is non-existent to them. Its like children playing cowboys and Indians, constantly changing the rules so they come out on top. You can't debate someone who holds no absolute truths and constantly shifts the goal-posts, not to mention a lot of their ideas just make no rational sense.
Take cultural appropriation. What if the people of that culture don't care? What if only a few object? Do I need to take a census? Do I go to a cultural leader and ask? No, you just don't do it. Why? Because you are white and appropriating their culture, they must be defended. Most people of that culture don't care (like the Redskins, no Native Americans gave a fuck)? Well, they are just oppressed and have been beaten down by Western Imperialism, so we must act to preserve their culture for them. As white people. White Man's Burden? Never heard of it.
And that's just one of their ideas. These people are what Socrates warned about. They are the Sophists. They appear to be the philosopher, the intellectual. But their ideas are empty, meaningless and hold no truth or value. Their ideas are non-nonsensical, contradictory and fundamentally at odds with nature and thought. They're appealing because anyone can do it.
But Socrates was a heterosexual white man, what did he know? (Besides being the most influential philosopher in history and still relevant after over 2,000 fucking years). And once more, you see how empty these people are. Your accomplishments don't matter, the substance of your ideas don't matter, your influence doesn't matter. Only the most superficial, shallow qualities, ones that you can't change. Because their identity is the only thing (they think) that makes them special. They aren't. They're narcissistic fools and reality is going to hit them like a truck eventually.
