let's get serious, mobile apps is the most popular gaming in the world and will be the new platform for good-great videos games. i spend a lot of time in transit while commuting, what mobile iphone games would you recommend? (i'm not a gamer, i'm just really tired of tetris every morning for the past 8 years)

Plague Inc. is worth the 99 cents.

"Can you infect the world? Plague Inc. is a unique mix of high strategy and terrifyingly realistic simulation with over 700 million games played!
Your pathogen has just infected 'Patient Zero'. Now you must bring about the end of human history by evolving a deadly, global Plague whilst adapting against everything humanity can do to defend itself."

Metal Slug Defense imo is worth a try. It's a Battle Cats lookalike with Metal Slug characters with classic music.

I can agree with both Plague Inc and Battle cats, both games are fantastic.

I also really enjoy Deathwatch: Tyranid Invasion, Very solid, I think its still free i may be wrong though. Its good regardless if you like Warhammer or not

Hearthstone is the usual go to recommendation for a 5 min time waster that isn't tetris level of simple. I also think OOTP Baseball has a mobile version if you're into pretending to be a general manager. I'd recommend diplomacy but there's no iOS version as far as I know, unless you're ok with use one of the web based versions.

And of course you could just grab Baduk/Go, I'm sure iOS has like 8 billion different clients for that.

Edit: Right, forgot that Subterfuge was an iOS game originally. It's a pretty good Diplomacy-esque game, but requires a long term commitment, but the sort of long term that's checking in every few hours or so to talk or tweak your strategy. This video series sums it up pretty well.
