Didn't Hunter Avalone used to be a conservative YouTuber? I remember some of his riffs on SJW culture when I last watched him a few years ago. It's kind of weird now seeing him aligning with that stuff and using some of it's buzzwords.

Flying Tiger stores previously were more subtle about their pride stuff, never mentioning the word and just bringing out their rainbow and love is love crap, but that got thrown out the window this year and now they have pride section and these two hideous flags mixed in.

There is some nice symbolism here, as new things are added old parts of the community are pushed out and covered up, eventually it will just become a conveyor belt where groups that thought they found solidarity are going to be pushed out for the fresh new thing

This is what the future has in store for any other group that eschews gatekeeping, your actual group gets pushed to the margins and is replaced with whatever unrelated thing makes people look even more woke, aware, and cool at the time.
I don't think we'll see this go on forever though. Thanks to the lack of gatekeeping we're going to see one of two things:
1. The gays will finally get tired of being pushed to the margins in their own community by unrelated groups like people unhappy with their sex, people with birth defects (intersex), black people for some reason, and fleeting youth culture (non-binary). The Lesbians are already getting there now that the mainstream is trying to guilt them into taking cock.
2. Or it all gets so complicated it's no longer marketable and the companies either move away from it or they go back to the simple rainbows. Let's face it, this shit goes away the second the flag or concepts get too complex to recognizably fit onto a 144x144 twitter user icon or an emptily supportive tweet, respectively.
They need to learn gatekeeping isn't a bad word, it's literally the cornerstone of any group. It's why groups exist in the first place, so like-minded individuals can find each other. It doesn't mean you hate people outside your group. It's to keep your group from getting muddled with unrelated parties and losing its purpose, otherwise what's the point of the group?

I hate, hate, HATE this new flag so much. The only reason black/brown people are represented on the flag is because of how hot the Black Lives Matter movement was that year. The idea that a flag representing sexualities could be covered up to include <insert X hot political topic of the moment> is infuriating to me. Who knows what the next hot button political issue (that has nothing to do with LGBT) will get slapped on the flag next?
Also loathe how T gets their whole flag represented. Why not the gay flag? Or the lesbian flag? Or the bi flag? Why does only ONE of the alphabet get their whole flag represented? Trannies and their insistence at shoving up to be the front of the show is maddening.
