I know most people aren’t really into sports games, but genesis has a lot of good ones — sensible soccer, international superstar soccer, NBA jam TE, NHL 94, NFL quarterback club, and so on.
Road Rash III is also pretty fun imo. I haven’t played many other games on the console because I didn’t have one as a kid

Sonic 3d blast is a fun isometric platformer kinda game loved that shit back in the day. People shit on it nowadays cause it wasn't real 3d and they don't like collecting the birds despite that being the whole point of the fucking game.

Castlevania Bloodlines is my favorite game on the Genesis even though it wasn't one of the ones I played as a kid.

I also really love Toejam and Earl and the not as good but still cool sequel.

Probably my favorite game that I played on it as a kid is Ren and Stimpy: Stimpy's Invention, a surprisingly good licensed game.

Someone else already mentioned Streets of Rage 2 (3 was great too -- anyone who bitched about the USA version being "too hard" was a pussy) , so I'll bring up Cyborg Justice. In what other beat 'em up can you rip pieces off your enemies and then customize yourself with the stolen parts right then and there? Glorious.
