it lets them outsource the actual work of developing videogame content to underpaid freelancers.

I suppose if you think nothing of fucking the costumer by making them buy mods, it might be a positive thing. Otherwise it just sets a negative example that'll divide the modding community further over a few dollarydoos. Not to mention the fact that Bethesda is going to take the vast majority of the profits.

If it sticks this time they'll obviously go after the competition next, either by making the Nexus owners' an offer they can't refuse or by just stomping them in court.

Yeah, It's really ridiculous that people are getting so spergy over a video game's plot before it's even released. I guess some people, Far Left or Far Right, can't let go of politics for one occasion and just enjoy a good game. I guess fun isn't in their forte.
 
So now instead of just expecting their customers to pay to beta test their unfinished shit and it won't be functional until you buy some DLC, they're actually having the community finish the games they release before they're done, and then charging you for other people's work.

Sounds legit!
 
not gonna lie the VR doom game looks like such a pile of shit that i'm a little bit upset
yes please make it so that i may only teleport around in a series known for moving fast as fuck for no reason
 
Paying for free entertainment is for fat people and hookers. I don't see this thing lasting long.
