Fly was good as a single episode, if they had done any more bottle episode naval gazing like that it would have sucked ass, but I think it worked as a one-time deal.

Don Harvey was apparently tied to a contract with some show on HBO during filming, so they had to get a new guy in and reshoot the Jeff scenes for continuity.Apparently the old guy was too fucking ambiguous for mouthbreathers so they needed a new guy that screams "I'm a threat" in their head?
"It's a brilliant move by Vince to make you appreciate the highs before the fall." - some fanboy somewhere probably6B is going to suck, isn't it?
Maybe? While this is a interesting theory, I absolutely doubt that the reason they recast was to show Jimmy having PTSD. cool fan theory, but I doubt it's the actual reason.View attachment 3456888
Jimmy has PTSD?
What would a bottle episode of BCS even look like? Who would be in it?I thought Fly was a decent episode. It's just not supposed to be in Better Call Saul.
I think people view Vince Gilligan as this godlike individual who just wills things into existence, so if that actor changed, it was some choice by Vince, and his choice sucked, and he is a shitty god.Sure, the new actor kind of sucks compared to the old dude, but everyone is way overthinking this when the simple answer is they recast him because they had to.
Because these are supposed to be prestigious incredible shows with the highest levels of writing and productions. Yet actors are willing to drop out and show no care in the world for completing their part. It also shows that the production is disorganized that they cannot even secure a minor part across two seasons without major scheduling conflicts. You would think that getting what could be a major iconic part on a huge show with its own universe of shows and movies, in the last season, where you are directly antagonizing the protagonist, would be something that most actors dream of. But this actor walked away from it like it was nothing. Why is everyone freaking out that they recast a minor (in terms of number of appearances) character? For whatever reason, they couldn't or didn't want to get the original actor, so they recast him. Sometimes that shit happens in Hollywood.
lol remember when this guyGame of Thrones was notorious for just randomly recasting parts for no reason whatsoever.
You just answered your own question there, buckarooSure, the new actor kind of sucks compared to the old dude
Maybe the old actor quit acting altogether. Maybe he's sick and can't work. Maybe the production was terrible and there is no amount of money that Vince could personally guarantee him to come back. Maybe he was just an asshole to work with and no one wanted him back. Maybe he got strangled by a vengeful opera house spirit.Because these are supposed to be prestigious incredible shows with the highest levels of writing and productions. The Sopranos recast one of Tony's sisters and it lead to some of the worst dialog in the entire series. Game of Thrones was notorious for just randomly recasting parts for no reason whatsoever. It just shows that there is no artistic integrity or an extreme lack of business sense.
Yeah, but the new actor sucking doesn't explain why people are trying to prove that this is really a 4D chess move by Vince to show the audience that Saul totally has PTSD you guys!!!You just answered your own question there, buckaroo
Oh, my bad. It's because fanboys are fucking retarded and can't accept that something could simply be contract negotiations, bad acting, bad casting choice, or simply a hasty line read for a fucking commercial.Yeah, but the new actor sucking doesn't explain why people are trying to prove that this is really a 4D chess move by Vince to show the audience that Saul totally has PTSD you guys!!!
Bravo Vince is a bit. They have a really retarded meme culture"Bravo, Vince!"
Damn, they are on some Kojima levels of cope.

After almost getting shot multiple times in the desert picking up the millions in cash for Lalo's bail, then walking miles, I can definitely see Him with PTSD.Jimmy has PTSD?
