Better Call Saul

My scorching hot takes:

- I think Kim sent the confession along because her life is so boring she’s willing to do something like this to break up the monotony.

- Jeff getting into an accident was retarded. He could’ve walked to the police car and told them Saul Goodman was in the house. I guess that would have bypassed the entire need for Carol Burnett, though.

- Aaron Paul turned in yet another lousy performance here. Maybe he just forgot how to be Jesse Pinkman or maybe it just looks weird that a guy who looks about 40 is pretending to be a 25 year old.

- I thought the long, drawn out scenes with Kim were great. They captured the boring suburban life perfectly, even down to the “yep.”

An improvement over last episode but it’s not a great one.

What exactly Are the crimes that jimmy would be charged with I know he’s done money laundry but he wasn’t that involved with Walt’s stuff
As Francesca explained in the last episode they could not get Walt or Jesse so their last option to get justice for Walt's drug empire is to get Jimmy. So they would definitely make an example of him due to that, as well as him pissing off the entire legal community in Albuquerque for years as Saul.

He's never been a great actor. His range is limited to yelling, screaming, crying, and screamcrying.

The pottery that you miss for fast forwarding too fast: Kim, deemed a great lawyer and whatnot, when contacted directly is at a loss of words during an arguing and can only actually come up with 2 actual sentences in a conversation that she had probably envisioned in her head over and over again for the past 6 years.
And once again Chuck was always right: Jimmy is jimmy and should never have been considered a lawyer as he believed in. Gene (brilliantly portrayed by Odenkirk) demonstrated us that people can "change", however, the nature of human beings is essentially the same no matter what happens (Gene not letting go of Saul had been foretold since episode 1 from season 1, showing a nice parallel to Walt in BB (in fact, Waterworks was nuance to WW in Ozymandias).
Not only that, but the le guy with cancer fucking with him again being the obvious implication to WW, people seem to forget how Saul used to use elderly people to promote himself so this cold dish is served 10 years later in full. That scene when the coloured ad plays on Gene's glasses was fucking absurd and a reference to the first 5 minutes of the series. It was always there but no one noticed, people shitting on it should pay more attention.
Next episode he very probably chickens out of getting vacoomd again and turns himself in, ending up in court, properly finishing BCS in a legal trial (prob defended by Oakley lol), again as a parallel to how the series started (I'd recommend you watching that episode again).

Now, some considerations..

>hur dur feds are stupid
Nigger, take a look on Null's posting about notices and takedown etc, especially this thread. You give these rats too much credit and this is just a slight example, you can imagine the bigger picture.

>hurr durr it wasn't their fault what happened to Howard
Unbelievable that this late in the game people are still clueless.

>hurr durr it was only 8 months
Be honest, not even you yourself can remember a criminal from 8 months ago from the top of your head.

>i-it could at least not had been so slow
This is the only legit criticism even though the series was slow from the get-go, and my hunch is that they were going to end everything on s05 but AMC also demanded a sixth one since the series keep paying off dividends as Breaking Bad did in the past. It's a gold mine that they can't let go and that's why they made Slip Jimmy and Vince even started shilling a spin off Kim series but I wish they'd just do something else entirely.
Speaking of Kim, Neogaf Lurker is right: if you watch properly, you will notice that she hated every second of it, contrasting well to her previous persona daily life so the viewer could fully understand her position and I believe that deep down as - opposite to Jimmy - a good lawyer (which by the way, when Kim heard from Howard's wife must have hit like a truck, multiplying the self psychological mutilating suffer by x100) she wanted to make things "right" but lacked willingness until eventually couldn't bear with it anymore.

On a side note, it's confirmed once again that people working on BCS posts on /tv/ kek https://archive.4plebs.org/tv/thread/172195257/#172200654 Just like last ep was the shitposting episode and makes me think that since they ran out of ideas to extend the series at maximum they just started pandering to fans.

He could go to jail forever for knowing that Jorge De Guzman was Lalo Salamanca. They do not even need to bother with anything else. Him covering up murders. Laundering. Advocating that his clients murder. The list of stuff crimes is endless. He would be facing life in jail and likely in a federal prison. There would be proof of him having worked with Mike and the Salamancas in court going back over a decade. No chance they would take it easy on him and he has almost no information about Gus or Walt that could give him a deal (especially considering that Walt and Gus are dead).
Walter White will be in the finale. They said there are 3 scenes. One with Jesse, one with Walter, and one with them together. We got the together scene and the Jesse scene. Walter scene is in the finale.
Scene will almost assuredly be Walter and Jimmy in the basement of the vacuum place having a conversation about what they will do when they take on their new identities.

I mean Tony Soprano literally got away with it. You have to read autistically into David Chase's cut to black to know "oh he might've been killed"

I hate that fucking argument, which shows that retards either didn't watch the show and are talking about it, or weren't watching the show and are talking about it.

It's also something that Vince Gilligan is never going to top, as hard as he might try, because that is the definition of artful, impressive cinematic genius and brilliant foreshadowing.

The scene spells it out for you. All you had to do to realize Tony got shot is to pay attention on how the scene is framed:

Shot of the dinner
Reaction shot of Tony
POV shot from Tony's eyes
Shot of the dinner
Reaction shot of Tony
POV shot from Tony's eyes
etc

The whole last 5 minutes.

That's it. The last shot, when it cuts to black? That's because the guy who was in the bathroom perpendicular to where he was sitting came out and shot him in the head.

I know redditors would have preferred to have Tony's face falling in a bowl of onion rings his brain splattered all over his family as Carmela and AJ are screaming traumatized, but that was never the point of the Sopranos.

The Sopranos was always about Tony's journey, from the moment it opened, and so when Tony's dead, there's no reason to continue, even for a second.

And you want to talk about foreshadowing? This is how the final season opens:

"You probably don't even hear it when [you getting shot in the head] happens", and Tony joking that he'd rather get shot in the head than grow old.

My prediction tonight: Cancer guy is DEAD. Either because of the drugs they gave him or Jimmy has to kill him to cover up the crime.

Afterwards Jimmy runs from cops or is arrested. Old lady might turn him in or confront Jeff about him. No idea about the rest

Adding to this I think the cold open will be Kim getting the call from Jimmy. Or it'll probably feature Kim.

Motherfucker. So close
Why couldn't Jimmy bash that idiot's head in like he was supposed to? 😪

Also didn't AskJeeves go away in 2005?

This detail was neat:

Also, I really thought Jimmy was going to kill the old lady. Apparently he's not a monster, unlike Heisenberg.

Glad to see that it finally occurred to Kim that Howard and Chuck were always right about Jim.
Oh you naive motherfucker... They are definitely setting things up for Kim to be running back to Jimmy. We had an entire episode set up around how her life without Jimmy turned into suburban hell where she worries about mayo vs miracle whip, discusses deviled eggs, says 'yep' when fucking, doesn't even bother to change her clothes from one day to the next.

They didn't show all of that to tell us that this is what Kim ends her life as, it's giving us her motivation to going back to Jimmy because ~true love~ and all that.

Then she knows the bois were right about Jimmy all along and that's why she loves him.

I bet you liked Last Jedi

How can you watch the last two episodes and get the exact opposite of the intended character beats. Its astounding

The Sopranos is by far one of the best television series of all time (much better than either BB or BCS), and its finale is universally recognized as one of the best of all time as well. How the fuck do you go from that to space faggotry, I have no clue. Then again you think Tony got away with it, so clearly you're just retarded.

Nigga, did you see her reaction to that phone call? How emotionally she reacted to Jimmy calling her? There is no way they don't share a scene next episode. I'm still assuming a True Romance where Jimmy's shot just as they meet and suddenly both of their lives are in color again.
