Better Call Saul

Yeah I do not get why people think the plan was for howard to kill himself... the plan was for howard to hang himself or some stupid shit.
No no. As in there was no way the D-Day shit wasn't going to backfire, and I assumed he'd Chuck himself and it'd draw that aforementioned "parallel to Chuck" and show that Kim had to realize that they were driving people to kill themselves (whereas everyone just assumed Chuck was so fucked in the head that it was inevitable anyway). Not that the intended endgame was "and then he eats a bullet and we get off scot free!"

Yeah I do not get why people think the plan was for howard to kill himself. As you said, it was like chuck. It was just to get them to have a major outburst that ended in them looking mentally insane despite being absolutely correct in everything they say. Both also end in unforseen consequences.

I know I am pointing it out, but I am getting annoyed with redditors screeching about how the plan was for howard to hang himself or some stupid shit.

Howard isn't killing himself, wtf, that isn't even in his character.

The problem is that when someone believes a lot in something they can't actually see 1 inch in front of them. The 'Howard was supposed to commit suicide' will be the new 'nothing has happened' shitposter cope. I'm unable to read any Harbinger posts without a screaming soyjack figure as representation of him popping up in my vision lol (I 100% CALLED IT!!! *points*), even though he has some good points sometimes.

Seeing him in the very end I knew something bad was gonna happen. I thought at first heart attack from stress, but once Lalo showed up I think we all knew what was coming next..
See, funnily enough I was thinking that Kim might kill him because he just got crazy until Lalo walked in..

then it made so much sense.

And holy shit that final 'Shh shh shh.. let's talk' with that smile at the end was also fantastic.

>Jane dies unconsciously, no pain

>Gale dies pleading for his life but ultimately finding peace

>Mike shot and betrayed, but at least gets to have the last word

>Hank dies with his dignity in tact at least

>Nacho dies a noble death to protect his father

>fucking Howard, the nicest guy on either show, gets blasted out of nowhere, betrayed by his best friends, humiliated professionally, cucked by wife, a man denied daily sex, dies in the worst way possible

Oh god damn it, that came out of nowhere, but at the same time not really. Holy fuck. This is admittedly crueler than a predictable suicide, his last words were an incomplete, drunkard, and whimpered out "fuck you" speech. That's cold.

Also if this disappointed you, go watch the season finale of the Dexter reboot, then bitch about how this was an awful mid-season finale.

>episode called plan and execution
>death hinted since odenkirk posted that picture, same tie
>howard's speech at the end of the ep explaining everything to people who speedwatched and why he wouldn't give in
>wHy hOwARD DiDnT kiLL HimSeLF? I KNEW ITTTTT WUOOHHH

Even at the end Howard still showed up to have a drink with them hoping he could finally find out what he ever did wrong. He didn't even threaten them, he concealed and only threw some facts on the table.

Someone made this compilation :(

the timing of Howard getting killed is almost act of god levels terrible, like the insurance agency metaphor.

it was also entirely preventable, which makes it quadruple times more cruel.

this may very well become a game of cat and mouse between investigators and James and Kim, though that's stating the obvious.
