Better Call Saul

From the subreddit:
We all know and remember that Chuck intentionally hindered Jimmy's career as a lawyer and hate him for that. What we do not remember so often is that it was Chuck who saved Jimmy's whole life, and without him he'd be in prison, be a registered sex offender, and would effectively have had his future ruined.

This is not to say we should excuse Chuck's actions necessarily, but at least we can understand why Jimmy is still giving him chances after having his career hindered by him, because he knows his life would have been over without Chuck.

Overall, I'd argue Chuck did an equal amount of good and bad things to his brother.

Arguably, Jimmy helped kill his own dad by stealing from the store to the point it went out of business. He hated his dad for being a sucker even though he knew he was a good man. I think that's why he flipped out on the copier guys and is now going to go back to form by ripping them off. He doesn't want to be Slippin' Jimmy but that's all he knows to do.

I'm just interested when Jimmy goes through the "Walter White-Hiesenburg" transformation. From Jimmy McGill- Slippin Jimmy- Saul Goodman Attorney at Law. It'd also be cool if the series finale would be the exact moment Walter and Jesse kidnap him during his first appearance.

Ok guys. When Vince Gilligan makes a show, you don't have to choose 1 saint and 1 hitler. Chuck was a horrible piece of shit, he liked feeling like he was better than other people, he was all about doing things the "right way" but when push came to shove he didn't mind using any dirty tricks he could.
Chuck did bail Jimmy out of a bad situation, and seemed to use that as leverage to get Jimmy to turn his life around. But he didn't want him turning his life around too much, he didn't want Jimmy making trouble, but he had to retain his superiority.

Gus just doesn't work on Better Call Saul, you can't take the supervillain mastermind from one series, go back in time, and keep him as the supervillain mastermind. He just becomes a marty stu, you know he can't die, and he apparently can just do whatever he want. He only just barely worked for me in Breaking Bad, but he's always been too super competent and lucky.

Mike is overly sanctimonious since he's just a hitman. He gets all over walter in breaking bad for "Messing up a good thing". He seemed to forget that he wanted to kill them both pretty much the whole time, and if walt hadn't killed gus, he'd probably be dead. When walt shot him, it wasn't in self defense, but that motherfucker deserved to be shot. How many times did he stick a gun in walts face? Then he has the fucking balls to be all buddy buddy with Jesse, and that moron just forgets the dude wanted to murder him.

I mean walt was obviously a heinous dude in breaking bad, but almost everyone was.

GAIL'S APPEARED!

Nacho is seriously dead, Carteldoc's told him to fuck off.
I will say the burglary scene was hilarious, probably one of the funniest moments this show's provided.
Is Jimmy gaining more ground over Saul after Kim's crying over Chuck's letter? And Kim's clearly struggling withgetting back to work after Relax-a-thon 2003

That wasn't the cartel doctor, that was Caldera - the veterinarian that plays go-between for criminals and such. He was the one that hooked up Mike with the bodyguard job.

The cartel doc is Goodman, the doctor of the emergency medical crew we saw in season...4? of BB.

Either way, he's clearly the go to for urgent work.

For Nacho, maybe.

But I can see Jimmy continually hitting him up when he's shot down by Mike. I would imagine that Caldera is going to be the springboard to Saul's network of guys he knows ("I know a guy who knows a guy...") that he uses for all of his scams and such.

All of his scenes were so goddamn tense. He's gotten himself way over his head and you can feel just how intimidated he must be being surrounded by people like the Salamanca twins and Gus. And the scene where his dad comes home to find him all banged up on the couch and is unable to call the hospital was heartbreaking.

Slight autism triggering thing in that scene. You do not call 911 and hang up. They will show up anyway.

I would seriously watch a show about Mike's working day. Jonathan Banks needs a fucking Emmy or something, he's that good.
Nacho's in his endgame, he's way in over his head and Gus is suspicious. My bets is on Mike's job is a hit on him/papi.
Jimmy has the best job, he just gets to fuck about all day and brings home a paycheck. Though I get why a massively social creature like himself is getting restless.

Gus ain't suspicious of shit. He knows probably everything that Nacho has done, hence why Gus owns him. If anything, the cousins might be a little suspicious of Nacho which may lead to some "pick your poison" kinda thing where someone in the Salamanca side tells him to take out a Fring person, thus putting him between a hard place and a worse place.

Man, Mike is the kind of grandfather (or father) that we all wanted to have in some point of our lives *sigh*

I need some help here: why Fring was kinda mad at Mike at the end of the episode?

Also, for a show called Better call Saul, the latest episode featured very little of him :P
