Beyond Skyrim Community

The scope of people that this sort of thing reaches is incredibly small relative to the amount of work needed to be put in. So why do this and completely turn some people away from trying it when you can just make a cool mod that the whole community can enjoy instead?
Hard to say. Maybe because the pioneering days of Skyrim modding are largely over and the community isn't as big as it used to be, now they can get away with that kind of thing?

Maybe they're hoping to draw in some kind of new crowd with ideals similar to their own? Couldn't tell you.

Either way you look at it, prioritizing that kinda shit instead of keeping the spirit of the game is just fucking retarded to me.

Judging from what's been said about their discord shenanigans, they seem to be interested in making Cyrodiil more troon and woke-friendly to spite the critics on /v/. Which might cause even more delays. At best, based on what's been going around, the Cyrodiil mod was probably gonna be released by 2023 at least, but now after the Discord drama and the efforts to be more inclusive, there could be even more delays. And honestly, by then nobody will really care since TES6 will probably be out by then (unless of course Bethesda shits the bed even harder and fucks that game to Hell and beyond, but even then that might be enough for the mod). I'm expecting anything at this point really. I'm just focusing on seeing if I can find working links to the other leaked assets and esp/esm files, if there are any left or anyone's bothered to reupload them somewhere.
Ruining your mod and waiting until its irrelevant to spite the transphobes lmfao

Elder Scrolls 6 will be out by then

Why they would choose to challenge social norms in a medium as meaningless as this is beyond Skyrim me. The scope of people that this sort of thing reaches is incredibly small relative to the amount of work needed to be put in. So why do this and completely turn some people away from trying it when you can just make a cool mod that the whole community can enjoy instead?
At best its Hanlon's Razor, and they're just stupid/inept and think their own little Discord communities are more representative of real life and that everyone share's their narrow-niche hobby/interest.
At worst its a slow-burning effort to insert their ideology into every previously apolitical space imaginable and eventually coopt the space from there; ergo its an intentional effort to "confront" people with even the slightest modicum of anti-trans sentiment with the final end goal of driving them from the Skyrim modding community.

Realistically its probably a bit of both.

I have an immense amount of respect for modders and mappers since they're perhaps the most important and skillful element of any game "community," and without their work some of my favorite memories of games wouldn't exist. But anyone who's willing to essentially make an entire game's worth of content for free, over the span of years a decade, can not possibly have their priorities straight. At that point it becomes more an obsession than a hobby.

Was there any vetting system for new members, or were the degenerates and fetishists just willfully brought aboard with zero oversight?

Argonians clearly have male & female, so if they don't have gender then they literally can't be transgender or [insert 1 of 76+ genders here].

This "Deer" bitch makes me MATI.
It's "Didn't pay attention to the Lore" 101. The psychic, hive minded Hist trees the Argonians pretty much worship can change them between male and female. They can also change Argonians into, effectively, roided out kill machines, which is why in the Oblivion Crisis, the Daedra stopped opening gates into Black Marsh. Every time they did the Argonians would counter invade and wreck them. Argonians themselves absolutely have genders, they can just have their sex changed by god trees. They're also pretty low key and chill in general, so they're absolutely not trannies.

The Argonians are also genocidal assholes, like everyone else in TES lore, who decided to kick the Dunmer when they were down after Red Mountain exploded, because the Telvanni are pricks who can't live without cheap labor. Trying to pick my brain if there's ever been a gay Dunmer, considering they're one of the most socially "conservative" groups in TES lore. I'm not counting Vivec, I'm pretty sure he'd fuck anything since he knows the true nature of the universe.

I knew about the An-Xileel BTFO'ing Mehrunes's daedric bitch-boys, but I didn't know about the transsexual trees.

So I guess the lizardmen do have genders and can be trans?

Skyrim harping on with Nord oppression of other races while the Dunmer exist is hilarious to me

The Hist are weird, since they're intelligent and can override the Argonians, effectively mind control, like when they stormed Oblivion, but usually they just exist in the back ground. I wouldn't call Argonians trannies though, some of them switch sexes and go back and forth, but certainly not all of them and it's not like modern Troons. None of this born in the wrong body bullshit, it's just that the Argonians aren't human or elf. They're alien in their thinking, but not too alien. Just like the Kitties and their moon crack and their physical appearance and sub-type being determined by the phases of the moon when they're born and how they can go from mammoth sized cats to almost elf looking to house cat sized. They also have barbed penises, just ask Barenziah, she has personal experience.

Elder Scrolls Lore is fucking weird in places and that's why it's so great. It's why I'll be disappointed if we get taken to some place boring like Hammerfell and not Elsweyr. I want to have to worry about catching radiation poisoning when I explore the bunker they built Numidium in while talking shit with the Senche-cat I'm riding like a horse. A Desert full of angry brown people? That's fucking boring.

It is kinda funny. Ask the Falmer how Nord Oppression goes.

The most realistic element of Elder Scrolls.
Certainly. We're talking about a universe that includes your race being determined by your mother's, a talking monkey building a cult that breaks time to remove Elven aspects of the Imperial Pantheon's chief god, the founder of the first human empire having a talking, winged bull as a consort, a time-travelling murder cyborg with a laser arm, and an elven race that's called dwarves that very possibly achieved a fundamental understanding of the universe, as a race, and then because they worshipped rationality and couldn't justify their continued existence they all disappeared in a puff of logic. Except for that one guy. Or they tried to turn themselves into a god-machine and the spell didn't work because that one guy was off on another plane of existence. No one is really sure, but it's probably a good thing. And lets not even talk about Vivec and Molag Bal and their "spear" fight.

It really is the most realistic part.

The thing I find funny about these mods is that half their appeal is getting the older games content with the systems of the newer game. However, their massive scope and incompetent devs make it take so long that the games theyre porting the content to are outdated by the time its finished. Like realistically who is going to want to play the older games in the Skyrim engine once TES 6 is out? They'll want them ported to there instead.

Fuck you, the Redguard sank their home island by overusing a forbidden sword technique.

They're straight gangsta.
Redguards are, yes. Hammerfell isn't. I died a little inside when they gave them a minor affinity to destruction in Skyrim. It's like they forgot that Redguards don't need magic.

Ehhh... not so sure about that. I mean, more recently in the Fourth Era... the Imperials were signing a peace treaty with the Dominion, like the pansy-ass white boys they are, leaving Hammerfell out to dry.

In response, the niggas of Hammerfell popped a fresh clip in their Glock Brand Glocks, and kicked the Nazis out of their 'hood singlehandedly.

But I agree that Hammerfell would probably be the least interesting setting to explore. Black Marsh would be kickass, if it wasn't so utterly hostile to just about every form of life on Nirn.

Yeah, the Redguards themselves are hardcore badasses who don't need your faggy elven magic to fuck the Thalmor over, just curved swords bitch. North Africa/Middle Eastern theme, endless sand, and dwemer ruins are awfully similar to Norse theme, endless snow, and dwemer ruins. High Rock would just be generic western european fantasy 2.0. Like Oblivion with more Bretons and only interesting if they bring the nudity from Daggerfall back. Maybe we could be lectured about racism against the poor, poor Orcs.
