Beyond Skyrim Community

I thought everything got messed up not just Vvardenfell. Like even parts of Solstehim were all ashy and shit in Dragonborn right? Or am I remembering that wrong it has been a long time since I played it.
Can't say with full certainty but I recall the most heavily damaged area is Vvardenfell itself, though the ash from the eruption was said to have choked out crops and caused serious damage in the short term. What wasn't totally destroyed was then fought over by the surviving houses, then saw yet more battles taking place with the Argonians. So its likely most of the land is both ash dusted, pillaged, and under severe distress.

It's a bad time to be a Dunmer in the current timeline, though it's possible they can recover or that the Ashlanders (if they survived in numbers) will grow to be a more dominant culture.

It's very depressing to me that I've now worked on a whole bunch of Skyrim and other game mods. Some of which were ones I used to quite like. And had my illusions completely shattered. They often expect me as a writer to design shit for them. I'd like to think I'm pretty creative but when you got people called "designers" I would assume asking me to design quests and levels is stepping on their toes. I'm just the dumb arse making the Arnold sounding blokes say the silly words. So I try to defer to the designers. Only to be told "Idk." And then they start asking ME about Creation Engine stuff and I have to coach them on basic creation kit usage. Due to my proximity to far more talented people than I, I've picked up a little of how Gamebryo works. (especially the Open MW fork as per my work on Tamriel Rebuilt and Project Tamriel. They're pretty good teams btw) I'm by no means a real programmer but fuckin hell lad I seem to know more than these "5-10 year indie autergrammer" trannies.

When you get told how stunning and brave you are 24/7 by the discord mod who's been grooming you since you were 12 it really warps your world view in addition to whatever ADHD and BPD meds they're taking. Forget about modding, some of the Beyond Skyrim teammembers are Chris Chan levels of mentally ill and mentally incapable. Find a way to permaban them from Discord and that 41% will rise more rapidly than Biden's member at a pre teen beauty pageant.
Man you got me curious about the "devs". Anything juicy or would that be too powerlevely?

I said everything that I saw. I wasn't that deep into the community. But I did observe the trannsanity. As I said, lots of quest pitches found their way into my lap due to a friend. And If I give them to you, certain gash wounds will know who it was who gave them to me. All I'll say is avoid Beyond Skyrim Morrowind at least. Absolute shambles and you'll be lucky to get a functioning mod.

if you could, could you make a document of all the tranny janny quest and plot points you managed to get from your guy on the inside, thanks boss.

I might be reaching here, but a game got announced last month on kickstarter that I was excited for. They advertised themselvess as modders making a game and since they're making an RTS and are working with Starcraft talent, their PR advertises them as SC modders. Which frankly, old school Starcraft modders have a very good track record at turning their mods into standalone games. But, then I saw this. I should have seen the writing on the wall when this was one of their advisors https://twitter.com/anykeyorg (archive)

What I'm implying is pretty obvious, but I'm very interested to see how it turns out when it comes to Skywinders releasing an actual game.

I saw those idiots fuck around with Bethesda code. If they can't wrap their heads around that they absolutely won't do that here. This is just another avenue for trannies to get a circlejerk.

I was there in these thread when this shitshow happened. Anons managed to grab the master files and Cyrodiil but not Illiac Bay because OP is a retard who can't figure out how torrents work. Many keks have been had and the troon shitshow that follow soon after is quite a spectacle to behold.
Like I've said before, Iliac Bay would've been the one I wanted to see the most, based on how shit it looks from the screenshots. At least Cyrodiil looks decent in my opinion, despite the fact that it will probably never come out at this rate.

So since Fallout Frontier turned out to be such a shitshow and Kiwis have had quite a field day this week from modding drama and lolcows, I decided to do some digging on the Beyond Skyrim modding team.
I’m not surprised of the autism. I’ve seen it in a few other discords that I lurk just for the lulz.
Everything you said is dangerously based and redpilled. For once I can give you guys a slight bit of insider info.

I was involved in the Morrowind side of things for a little under a month about 3 years ago. I was a writer on "try outs". I don't have any juicy server drama other than noticing that trannies liked to bitch and dilate. But one thing I will note is that the Morrowind team seem determined to follow in Beth's footsteps by making all quests Fisher Price retard-proof. They have the writers pitch and design the quests before going through this super tedious and unnecessary process of getting vetted on google drive. I'd be waiting weeks for mild and half arsed one sentence critiques.

I tried going for an interesting quest with lots of Choice & Consequences. Reacting to who lived and who died. Who you sided with, etc. It would take you to a couple different locations and I tried to make it interesting whilst also explaining some lore about the area to the player.

Every single time I got the same critique. "make it simpler."

And so I did. Kept getting the same feedback over weeks. Until I had the whole thing be a standard "Man bad kill bad man in bad cave" quest. "make it simpler" yet again. At that point I just gave up and let them forget about me. I know I can waffle on autisticly so I was fine with the critique at first. If there was some engine limitations I was fine to simplify it until it could run. But the same shit over and over until you just had a generic radiant system Skyrim quest bothered me. I talked to other writers who had the same experience. Later thanks to a friend on the team I see lots of pitches for quests with the tranny's deviantart OCs and Mary Sues where you don't even fight anything. You just go on a tour of how great that writers characters are. And wouldn't you know, all the other quests are just kill quests in caves. Even though I've been reliably told Skyrim CAN support C&C, and CAN support multiple outcomes for quests.

Anyway. I'ma attach my pitch so you guys can judge for yourself. It's a pitch, not a script or anything too detailed. So don't expect Shakespeare, hell don't expect JK Rowling. It's actually quite shit.
That’s disappointing but not surprising.
Wouldn't a big reason to mod Skyrim be that you want to make things that are even better than the vanilla game? Why would you bother to restrict yourself to exactly how they did things in the base game? Why not push yourself to make something great? I don't understand it.
If you ever have the chance I recommend Helgen Reborn. They could’ve made it where you just had to buy materials and that’s it, but it slowly builds up over time, it feels like your choices have consequences (only played it through once, so I can’t say), and it felt a lot more rewarding than ‘go to castle/house, buy it and/or kill stuff.’

I also really liked Forgotten City because it had multiple endings. I know it wasn’t lore accurate but it was fun.

To add more lulz into this, initially OP tried to upload the whole thing to google drive but his upload speed is shit and it takes forever. Later I and other anons tried to tell him to make a torrent for these files instead and he keep fumbling around, having no clue about what a torrent is. After much struggle with OP's single digit IQ in common tech, he managed to make torrents out of it but he posted the torrent's log instead of the actual *.torrent file. OP eventually delivered but only the master files and Cyrodiil while Illiac Bay is nowhere to be seen despite being promised. If this is the level of technical competency I should expect from Beyond Skyrim devs (if OP's claim to be one of the devs is true) then I don't really have any meaningful hope for this project, at least on the technical side of things. The Cyrodiil leak includes everything released in BS: Bruma and the performance issues are still there despite being a much more recent build of the project.

During all this, Beyond Skyrim team caught wind of this and send a few members in their discord server to do damage control. Needless to say, they are really easy to spot in the thread due to typical troon writing and their funny attempts to derail the thread into troon topics.

I have played both of those, I liked the idea of actually doing something with Helgen as opposed to its relegation to being a smoldering ruin full of bandits for the rest of the game.

Yeah, I've read through the threads and saw that whole thing. People put way too much faith into these people, individual modders seem to have gotten more done on their own mods in a shorter period of time than the entirety of what the BS team has managed to do after all these years.

Christ, this is depressing to read. Can't even have nice things in my god damn Skyrim mods. Not that BGS games have ever been free of degenerates running amok on Nexusmods, but still. They're just so blatant about it. I have to wonder what a half-decent project manager could do for these projects stuck in eternal development hell. Even if the talent pool is piss poor if these people were actually on-task and contributing tangibly imagine the shit that could get done!

Tried to use the magnet link to grab the leaked BS Cyrodiil for the hell of it (Oblivion's still my favorite TES game, so nostalgia), but it's stuck at downloading the metadata. Anyone mirror that shit?

Should have a new temp download ready by tomorrow.

The two main files are:
se-heartlands-master.rar
se-heartlands-masterLOD.rar
About 7 GB in all. The Master Assets are about 1.7 GB.

At this point in time, I wonder if we even deserved to have nice things in the first place.
I truly wanted to see this project ripen up and get the whole skyrim thing going again, but as always what happens to these overly ambitious dev groups, they're vunerable to corruption and eventual desecration of it's original idea.
Even more so, if the project completely collapses due to such shitty mismanagement and licentious narcassism of gamedev ghouls wanting their amazing self-vision of their glorified wattpad fanfiction fully realised and cranked out by the many talented (and just untalented) people enslaved to their demands, the incident will further discourage the idea of making any sort of project without financial gain in mind, no less the entire american dream of making your great story realised.
Nerds have always had their fare share of creeps and weirdos distorting their plans for their own primal needs (hey thats why we have the term "Magical Realm" for ), but many times before people would likely shoo them off for wanting to implement little girl dungeon mechanics in a game thats mostly about killing orcs and bounty hunting, but now with the guise that they're doing it under the veil of being ""politically correct"" it's hard to say no to their proposition to add their super cool and original mary sue who is totes super cool and is very morally superior and you have to agree with them with no other choice. Then they'll proceed to include dominatrix pr0n cutscenes with piss and shit and theres little to do about it other than incur a wrathful mafia of fellow fetishists telling you that you're wrong to deny them shit porn.

P.S.
I also want to note that the nexus is filled with porn mods. I know every game in existence has been known for rule 34 and shit, but Skyrim takes the cake for it, For every mod that adds an extra quest, gives you a special weapon, or is an "overhaul" of some mechanic, there 2 mods for some generic waifu character meant almost purely for having sex with in the middle of a burial ground. Seriously, go into nexusmods and register an account, search by newest, and tick the "Adult content".

Here they are for now.

Retard question, how do I use Mega links? Haven't used Mega since before the old one went down forever ago. I've got an account

Nevermind. Figured it out. Thanks again Admiral

There are far too many cooks in the kitchen, I imagine.

I don't understand the need of some people to bring their real world politics into whatever fiction they have a part in making, no matter if it even makes sense or fits in. It can certainly be done well, but it requires actual planning, a good idea, and a fine touch to not be completely out of place in the world you have created. It's for this very reason there's a lot of examples in fiction of creators smashing their fist through the fourth wall in some desperate attempt to get their message out there that just NEEDED to be said, which is rarely effective since people will usually wonder what the fuck the writer was thinking. I very much doubt they will have the tact, especially with some of the stuff shown in the OP.

I will admit, the idea of a telvanni mage giving someone "alchemy hrt" is hilarious. I look forward to the fanfiction moment compilation videos if this mod/s ever come out.
