Lolcow Bill Norton Olsen Code Red DVD - Plus David DeFalco Dark Force Entertainment.

It's not terrible, but Synapses releases of the other three are top tier with a ton of features, alternate versions of the movies, reversable covers, ect.

Looking at the Bluray case now and I figured out why I thought of Code Red. The case itself says Scorpion and even lists Walter, but the disc instead has the Code Red label. Weird.

I guess I've just learned to adjust my expectations with Scorpion/Code Red releases: They're just not heavy on special features, though I am looking forward to the limited Opera soon.

Bill is now selling an autographed dick mask on another website:

A day late and a dollar short but there's been a recent livestream with Bill in the Bananaman costume being filmed by Chaos director David Defalco:

B3iv7Xp.png

https://www.facebook.com/158542421434304/videos/2159651094297499/

The video shows Bill's place covered in filth and needles on the floor and also features homophobic remarks by Bill and Defalco.

Defalco is some wrestler groupie whose main claim to fame is directing the scene for scene Last House on the Left ripoff Chaos that sparked a debate with Roger Ebert on his column for the Chicago Times. He also wrote and starred in this POS from the 80's:

And he directed The Wrong Side of Town that had Rob Van Dam and a small part for Dave Bautista a few years before he did Guardians of the Galaxy.

Edit: in case you were wondering, Chaos is a POS too. Only notable for a scene where a woman gets her nipple cut off and bad audio mixing during said scene where you can hear Defalco from behind camera saying "More blood!" Stick to Night Train Murders if you want a good Last House on the Left ripoff.

Updates, updates and updates:

Bill has recently been hyping up a release of Screams of a Winter Night which is limited to about 2000 copies. People are pissed that the store keeps saying "sold out" but after a few hours more copies suspiciously appear on the store.

He's also been shitposting about it more than usual:

Later, Bill suffered a fall in his bathroom and had to be taken to the hospital where he's been intermittently livestreaming his hospital stay. He lost partial feeling in one arm and needs a new kidney.

This includes selling an autographed diaper on his store:

Say what you want about Bill, but you have to be low af to act like Dark Force is about his hospital stay and how he got there. I can imagine Bill giving a half hearted "sure, make fun of it online" because he feels like he has to and doesn't wanna lose people paying attention to him, but this just sucks. Even if you have no empathy, it's not funny even on the most basic level.

No one made fun of him. Please quote the post that insulted him for his hospital stay. All I did was post screens that he uploaded to his social media. And there's many more hospital videos on the link I posted.

Do you know where you are right now? Your virtue signalling is unwarranted.

I was only referring to Dark Force and their posts, not anyone here.

The “unskippable” thing is bullshit; you could always skip all of them. Most don’t even autoplay and you have to select them from the special features menu. Everything else in this thread is true though.

Just a really mild update: I've been told on the latest Screams of a Winter Night disc that the Banana Man intro is unskippable.

I should update the OP post. Bill set up a 2nd label called Dark Force Entertainment. Why he did this no one knows. But he's up to the same antics. Unfortunately, he got his hands on one of Fulci's best films City of the Living Dead which he's releasing under the re-title Gates of Hell.

Bill is releasing City as a two for one release with some other no-name feature. Which just highlights Bill's obvious disdain for the consumer and the filmmakers and probably society and the world.

He's going all out with restoring this one as you can see:

"WANNA SEE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OUR GATES OF HELL AND A PREVIOUS RELEASE?The first pic is from the new Drive-In #6 Collector's Edition featuring GATES OF HELL mastered from a US uncut 35mm print that actually played at the drive-ins. The second pic is a previous Blu-ray release from BLUE UNDERGROUND.
You can clearly see the colors in ours is much richer and deeper which really adds to the viewing enjoyment. And of course ours has the GATES OF HELL main title and nostalgic feel because you are actually watching a drive-in 35mm print. PLUS this release will also have the customized slipcover that everybody is talking about that GLOWS in the DARK! Best of all this huge release will be available later this month only from DARK FORCE!:
Darkforcedvd.com"
Below is a screen grab from his release and he compares it to the Blue Underground release:

The bottom one is the Blue Underground release. Now, I don't think you need to be an expert on film restoration or even a mega die hard Fulci fan to see which version obviously looks better.

Trivia: there's some bad blood between Bill and Bill Lustig (owner of Blue Underground). Bill wanted to do another cringey video with Lustig in the Bananman costume. Lustig refused because he has integrity.

They're finally releasing their release of City of the Living Dead AKA Gates of Hell with a 2nd feature Psycho from Texas. If that sounds familiar then you should remember it from an early episode of Best of the Worst.

Why package these two completely different films together? Who the fuck knows? The big selling point of this release is the limited glow in the dark cover. That's it. And it's being sold for $40 and has no extras aside from trailers and another cringey unskipable Banana Man sketch. Meanwhile, you could buy the far superior Arrow Blu of City of the Living Dead with an immaculate transfer and packed with extras for about $30-35. If this keeps up I might have to amend the thread and make it about Bill and DeFalco because DeFalco (AKA the Demon, and yes that is an alias he goes by) has been doing shady shit himself.

8/10: It gets even better: Turns out Bill's brother Walt is doing another release of City of the Living Dead (under the correct title this time) using the 4K scan from Rome. I'm unsure if this is the material used in Arrow's Blu release. So now you have 3 Blu-Ray releases of the same movie within 2 years. I'm getting flashbacks to constant releases of the Evil Dead trilogy. It can be assumed that Scorpion's release of City of the Living Dead will be cheaper, have the same extras as the Arrow release or a decent number of extras, and have a better transfer. So who the fuck would buy this shitty Gates of Hell release?

The Gates of Hell/Psycho From Texas release is available to order today. Defalco describes it as the "Lamborghini of collector releases" whatever the fuck that means.

darkforce 2.png

$40 PLUS shipping. No preview screens or anything to indicate the quality of either movie. An insider at Fotocem (the company that does restorations for Dark Force/Code Red) revealed that the Dark Force release of Psycho From Texas is just an upconvert of the DVD release that cost them $350 as opposed to being an extensive remaster. Psycho From Texas was previously put out on DVD by Code Red so this all still relates to Bill. An upconvert is when you take a previous source and just slap that onto Blu-Ray. Their upcoming release of Breeders appears to be another upconvert.

Oh geez, a lolcow in a niche market I have a lot of love for!! Code Red has put out some cool remasters (Messiah of Evil comes to mind, it's dope 70s stoned Lovecraft style horror but most the prints of it are low quality on public domain DVD sets), but I had no idea the dude behind that company was also the Dark Force Entertainment guy (who I see a lot of complaining about in grindhouse facebook groups). It's a shame someone with access to that many awesome movies is so woefully inept (and mildly insane?), I know there's stuff that's currently unavailable on video anywhere that Code Red got the rights to (like 1977's The Farmer, which looks fucking awesome:

You might notice a new subtitle to the thread and I will be modifying the OP post to include David DeFalco. This Facebook update on Dark Force entertainment's release of Ator: the Fighting Eagle (that was later supposedly cancelled shortly after this post) convinced me to do this:

More DeFalco drama:

darkforce 3.png

Apparently they're cancelling the releasing of Ator but still trying to dump inventory? Who knows?

I don't know if DeFalco and Bill finally noticed this thread but it's sus that I start updating this thread with Dark Force Entertainment's shenanigans and then they announce how they're shutting down social media (we'll see how long this lasts). It should be noted that DeFalco would host weekly livestreams where he liked to insult people by calling them fairies and suggest only real men collect Blu Rays.

I downloaded what may be DeFalco's final livestream but can't upload it here because it's 175 MB. I will be giving a breakdown while I look for other ways to host the file. Bill is on the livestream under his Banana Man persona. This video is aimed directly at the dang dirty trolls.

Link: http://www.mediafire.com/file/h6yy7cfwjbnmkol/%5Bsd%5D_Dark_Force_Entertainment_was_live..mp4/file

If any mods want to help me host the livestream here then great.

40 seconds in: DeFalco plays wrestling entrance music and flexes for the camera.

Trivia: despite the fact that this guy looks and acts like a wrestler he has never wrestled anywhere. Not even in amateur matches.

1:30 "Hello there trowlls and welcome to Dark Force Entertainment." It should be noted that DeFalco sounds like a New Jersey Elmer Fudd.

2:00 Bill is ranting about other DVD/Blu labels that want to see him dead and DeFalco makes an offer to the trolls.
DeFalco demands that the trolls give him "Dawn of the Dicks or Dawn of the Pricks." A reviewer that gave negative reviews for Code Red/Dark Force discs. DeFalco calls the reviewer a pussy. DeFalco wants to fight the reviewer in a steel cage match.

3:00 If trolls give DeFalco the reviewer they'll give away Mirror, Mirror, The Farmer and another movie for free. DeFalco rants at Bill over the phone telling Bill to release The Farmer so he can get a cage match.

DeFalco pronounces "Mirror, Mirror" as "Miller, Miller."

Bill stammers a lot over the phone.

5:30 DeFalco demands the trolls face him in person so he can wrestle them.

6:00 Bill starts screaming like an angry midget "I don't need this shit! This is costing me money! Money I don't have!" And then threatens to sue the reviewer. DeFalco wants to sue the reviewer too.

8:00 DeFalco starts screaming at Bill to put out the Farmer so he can fight the reviewer.

He then starts reading off comments during the stream and insulting everyone. He threatens to beat up the trolls.

10:00 DeFalco brings out boxing gloves to "be fair" and Bill thinks he's going to wear a condom (?). Bill cries that he's too old and they both whine about how disrespectful kids are today.

14:00 DeFalco reveals that Bill hates Dawn of the Discs and the people at Vinegar Syndrome (another label).

vlcsnap-2019-09-05-16h26m54s923.png

22:00 Bill wants to send gang members after the trolls. DeFalco refers to himself as the Terminator.

24:00 DeFalco refers to this custom cover as a work of art:

With comments:

darkforce 5.png
darkforce 6.png

24:00 DeFalco defends his spree shooter comment. Tells the person who made the comment to grab their dick. DeFalco claims the label is doing fine but it's the trolls that's the problem.

29:00 DeFalco wants to employ troll hunters.

32:00 DeFlaco flexes for the camera. Note: this is to promote the upcoming releases of Ator and Mirror, Mirror.

33:00 Bill starts screaming "FUCK YOU!" To the reviewers at Dawn of the Discs.

38:00 Bill states "I think people should worry about money... And the future. Money and the future."

39:00 DeFalco say's that his Last House on the Left ripoff Chaos wasn't a movie but a prophecy of the future.

You know, this stream feels like something Uwe Boll would set up, if he was from Eastern America instead of Germany and wasn't completely r3tarded.

Boll is self-aware and actually funny. He also made at least 2-3 good movies with Rampage and Assault on Wall Street. 2-3 more movies than DeFalco has ever been involved with.

I hope you have the stream from Sunday, with Bill threatening to murder an infant and more promises from Dave to deliver in equal measure punishment and the fuckin fahmah.
