I think it's fine to have expensive equipment, but you should always show an alternative/cheaper method first for your audience who nine times out of ten don't have said expensive equipment. You shouldn't flaunt about it too, just be humble and show that it's okay to use less pricey options, as long as it tastes good and you have fun then it's alright.My only problem with Babish is his reliance on elaborate/expensive kitchen appliances. Of course it's nice to have good equipment, but you can make do with Ol' Reliable : good chef's knife, table and some quality pans, skillet. Perhaps an electric mixer.
