Bisexuality - A Myth

My theory is that most people are a little bi, but they end up unconsciously settling with one or the other as they mature. The ones who seem to be perpetually unable to make up their minds end up becoming the stereotypical bi person. In my experience humans are complete animals that will absolutely fuck anything that moves so saying everyone is inherently bisexual isn't a very large leap of logic for me. Conversely though, this outlook means I don't really think there's anything special or magical about it.

Definitely. Homosexual relationships were very common even among people who would we call straight, at least it was common before the Abrahammic religions got popular. Even the idea of being straight, gay, bi, etc. is a modern concept.

Sexuality wasn't labeled until the Victorian era. People are sexually attracted to others, sexual attraction to the opposite sex is healthy and can be acted upon, sexual attraction to the same sex is unhealthy and should not be acted upon. It's really simple.

I think the best test is imagine you were trapped on a same sex island forever and suicide was no option. Would you have a life of celibacy or occasionally have romantic or sexual relations with same gender?

Honestly, I've been comfortable with attention from both and I've had too many strong feelings for both genders to say I'm completely gay or straight but I can't seem to enjoy myself with guys as much as I can with women. With guys it's really easy to get laid because gays are complete horndogs but I get nervous and with women I'm never sure what they think and they always make it bothersome to get through to them since it's typically either pushy ugly women or choosy ones who can't make up their minds.

Id try it at least once to see if I like it.

See, that's something that doesn't make a ton of sense to me and never has. Gay or straight, no homo or bi, don't you know what you like? Why does everyone need to treat sex like a science experiment? Either you enjoy getting a dick rammed into you or you don't. Or the other way around, or whatever. Point is, why can't people figure out that they like out of the gate? Is it really that complicated?

I get where youre coming from. I think it again goes back to that "in theory Im not repulsed by the idea", but they never get around to it because actually doing it is different than the theory and they already have a primary attraction that they do know they like. A lot of people want to try new shit and exciting things, they hear other people tried it and liked it, they get curious. You dont know what you like until you try it, I dunno.

Its also a frame of reference thing, I guess. I didnt know I was gonna like smoking pot as much as I did until I tried it. I knew you get high but I didnt have a frame of reference for what being high was like. I could describe it, but its different for everybody and the most common things dont really make it sound all that fun or exciting, and there are people who dont like it, but booze and pot are the two most popular ways people get fucked up.
