Hearing people talk about non-mainstream IM clients reminds me of when Discord was becoming a thing. It had been so long since you ever heard "dawg install this, it's the new shit". Telegram maybe? The issue is that no matter how great a client is, it'll never take off in any meaningful way. Even when Telegram was huge, it ended up being primarily for furries and illegal shit.

I think this stands a good chance at succeeding and they're already adding a bunch of features into it.
Plus there is literally zero friction to use it, you don't need to sign up for faggy shit.

Discord fucking SUCKS dick so bad. IRC is penultimate but a pain in the ass to use in the modern khantext. Bitchat is at least somewhere near being as good as IRC.

There's also an IRCv3 spec floating around or some shit but I don't know if anyone ever did anything with it.

btw #sneed is located at lat/long: 37.2, 5.032

we're rockin the coast of algeria.

Dorsey became much less of a faggot when he stepped out from under the Trust & Safety lawyers and their government handlers forcing him to censor his platform.
Dorsey wasn't the one doing the censoring tho, it was the pajeets that replaced him that implementing more rigid censorship.

Tweeter was a publicly traded company so it was always bound to suck dick. No real "social media" or even tech company can exist as a stock due to the entire faggotry of the situation. Only Valve has managed to do good in the entire space (because it is privately held)

this approach provides censorship resistance, surveillance resistance, and infrastructure independence.the network remains functional during internet outages, natural disasters, protests, or in regions with limited connectivity.
How many times haven't I heard this before? You think Jack Dorsey of all people would be the guy to provide this? Until I learn how to code™, I will assume it's a glow app.

Why isn't there isn't a PC version, don't laptops have bluetooth? WhatsApp and Telegram got a desktop version.

There are some desktop versions floating around on github.
Its open source so niggers can go through the code and find exploits if they want to or change shit.

WhatsApp and Telegram do not really have "desktop versions" they just have an app/website that connects your computer to your phone effortlessly. Bitchat on the other hand doesn't even need an account of phone number (something both telegram and whatsapp both require)

There's no way this is feasible in a shtf scenario. This is for setting you smart thermostat, and getting a grocery list from your smart fridge. Bluetooth doesn't have the range and the battery drain is too high to work off grid.

You could use it to talk to people in the same office as you but that's about it.

It's entirely vibe coded, riddled with jeet PRs, and just stolen from Briar and other projects like Meshtastic and Reticulum because Jack Dorsey is an attention whore

If it can't work over 200 meters of 1981 military surplus telephone wire or HF radio, can you really call it "off-grid"?

Btw, check out Reticulum - you can even access the Farms over it, over radio:

I have been thinking about taking another look at how the hamm hash networks are running these days. I've gotten used to vhf for certain things, but Internet is something I haven't found a backdoor for.
