I think anyone saying the entire site is transphobic/anti-whatever is missing the significance of the threads in question. I know your point is the potential legal issue with it, but I'm not sure the extent of what kf does is enough to warrant changes anytime soon, because kf picks and chooses cringy people rather than making hit lists of random trans names or something.
Some people like to say that crime statistics are racist instead of looking into why some groups and areas commit more crimes. When we do look into it, we see the patterns with education and poverty level, chances of gang involvement in teen years, etc.. It looks like race on the surface, but isn't at the core; it's demographic, which just overlaps with race. However, when people see the info and make it all about racism, refusing to acknowledge the realness of the statistics, the issue is never addressed effectively.
I think it's the same with queer communities. The fact that a lot of lolcows are LGBT+ is the 'statistic' in this sense. There is a clear correlation between oversharing online, social/behavioral issues, and queer identity. Noticing the existence of this trend isn't bigotry. The threads here show a pattern in the communities/ideologies in question, but they do not create the pattern. The source of the issue is not the people observing and discussing the issue as it already existed, and the more people pretend it is, the worse these communities will get.
All of this may culminate in some stupid doxing bill, but I'd imagine it will take at least a few years. I just hope more people become willing to reexamine how they feel about this website, because it's good that it exists and it's way too easy to fall for what the media says about it.
