This is less a manifestation of centrism, and moreso angry spergs who take a forum too seriously on either end - competing over prestige and social controversy on Kiwi Farms is like being the coolest kid with downs syndrome; too much emotional investment from half of these retards in this thread (and that includes some of these alleged centrists that tend to seem less center the more they speak) - half of the people you're calling center only seem center until they actually begin to speak on their personal politics.

I dont believe ive ever been into the subforum in question , unless it contained the riot thread which i did post in a few times. I only visit this website to occasionally check on how josh is doing and the front page happenings, thus my presence here in this thread.

Initially I found much of this tiresome, but scrolling through revealed a level of moralizing passion which piqued my interest. One fellow was bragging elsewhere about “running these people out of chat” as though he was on some crusade, but was covering it well with ironic internet insults. It seems to me possible that, in addition to earnest relief from some users that more obsessive political rantings are being done away with, there is a contingent that is merely doing a victory lap at the expense of people they disagree with.

if this is correct, the site has politics further ingrained in its culture than can be addressed with the destruction of one subforum.

it is possible also that this is just standard online community gatekeeping which is common to all forums, and is very gay. It is probably good for the longevity of the community, but it makes you become necessarily retarded, as in the post Im responding too where you make a series of ignorant assumptions about me, like a senile old man who can only refer to the three memories from his youth his rotting brain can still conjure up.

The general advocacy of political violence is Constitutionally protected. What isn't is specific threats or calls to incite specific violence where they're both intended to cause imminent lawless action and actually likely to do so. Ironically SIG managed to make a post that literally did BOTH unprotected things, both actually being a specific threat and demanding that others join in.
