I have legit heard libertarians claim they are "fighting the socalist system" by milking welfare, as if them getting free money makes them a noble warrior against the ills of the welfare system.

It's not surprising when their entire ideology can really be boiled down to "Fuck you, got mine".

Of course, this logic doesn't apply to the actually poor and disabled people who need that money.

Those, they decry as leeches. The sheer hypocrisy of so many people describing themselves as libertarians is just fucking nauseating. I know some ethical libertarians, but the majority of these people I've known are running all kinds of bullshit scams and frauds, sucking the government teat, and doing exactly the opposite of what they claim everyone else should do.
