Bleach - Anime/Manga

  • 🔧 Actively working on site again.
Bleach is all style over substance, but it at least gets that right. It has great art, music, and some cool fights. I couldn't tell you what the fuck anybody's goals were beyond the Soul Society arc.
Exhibit A of not paying attention.

Considering the thread is now necro'd. I'd like to inform everyone that the TYBW 3rd cour OST is out now. Including (not officially) on YouTube too.
We can rebuild it, we have the fanbase.

The Thousand Year Blood War arc is mainly the thing that led to the asspull issue, it was really rushed & it shows. Kubo almost started hating his series by the end due to how his editors were handling him. I guess all The Heart went into the manga, to the point there wasn't any left in Kubo by the end of the series. The anime is showing some signs of goodness tho, like some extra anime inclusions, even if they removed some gags sadly like Rukia's peach tho.
Kubo had health issues. That is what led to the rushed ending. His arm was hurting him to the point he could neither draw nor write without agony. The TYBW anime includes the stuff he skimmed over due to being in a hurry because of the pain. He has remained active in the community since forever and always takes time to answer questions on Klub Outside. He did not fall out of love, he was tired due to his health issues. Now that that is resolved, he answers questions, reworked TYBW and is currently writing the Hell arc.

Then why did I pay attention for the first two seasons? Maybe it's not that I wasn't paying attention but that the plot was convoluted.
Hardly, everyone's goals were outright stated. In the Soul Society arc, Fullbring arc and the TYBW there was actual confusion because of the villains were hiding, manipulating memories and because the rushed ending respectively. Hueco Mundo is different. Once you realise that Orihime was bait to force the Soul Reapers to split their forces and fight on Aizen's terms, you figured everything out apart from Gin (and even then we see his flashback which explains his motives). Hueco Mundo was the easiest to follow even if it was longer. We knew the enemy, his goals and his supporters (with only Gin being an exception). Apart from that, it was getting from point A to point B.
