I'd even consider AoE a predecssor of worldbuilding/colony games like Dwarf Fortress and Rimworld.

There will never be another 1990s, it was just the perfect convergence of advancing tech, working around existing limitations and creativity that you just can't get anymore. Myst was one of the first computer games I played as a kid back in the early 90's and I remember being totally immersed in the visuals. Even today it still looks nice, knowing the limitations of the time.

I miss those big boxes with cool art and inch-thick manuals and actual gaming magazines. Goddamn I just want to roll everything tech and Internet related back to 1999 and permanently keep it there.

Nice to see a real angel from Ezekiel. They're not fat naked babies with wings, they are supremely terrifying monstrosities, which is a major reason why every single encounter with them in the Bible involves "be not afraid". Not evil by any stretch of the imagination but still very scary looking to a mere mortal. Makes a lot of sense when you consider all accounts of demonic-type hauntings involve absolutely terrifying people and feeding on their fear.

I still wonder what the fuck these guys actually saw. Everything about those stories in Ezekiel make it sound like he saw some robotic creatures with the ability to reconfigure their appearance, controlled by a giant, hovering machine covered with artificial "eyes" to observe everything that is going on in the area.

Maybe they recognized their work here on Earth was done and left to seed intelligent life on other planets.

It makes me wonder what the sodomites saw in the story of Lot. It's degenerate enough to think about them wanting to fuck a humanoid angel, but it might have played out way, way weirder. I just imagine all those eyes on the Seraph looking dejected and bemused lmao

Not fuck them, rape them. Apparently it was a big priority in Sodom for travelers to be raped. Lot even offered up his own daughters to them knowing how bad it was. It was better for a family member to be raped than a guest under your protection in the culture of the era.

That being said, good riddance to those animals. There was some really evil shit going on in Mesopotamia and the Levant during this period and I don't think the Hebrew Bible was lying about much of it. You can't motivate people to go to war over these things if they aren't factual.

Something with more than three dimensions so it would seem to be changing shape as we would only see a cross-section of it in three dimensions as it passed through our own.
