A photographer who allegedly supported Black Lives Matter (BLM) seems to have been killed by a BLM-affiliated protester.

Tyler Gerth, a photographer and outspoken supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement, according to the Courier Journal, was gunned down in a protest camp in Louisville, Kentucky, on Saturday. Steven Nelson Lopez, who is suspected of killing Gerth, has been sighted and arrested at protests against racism and police brutality, per the Courier Journal. One other individual was also wounded during the shooting.

A livestream originally provided by Maxwell Mitchell appears to show Lopez firing indiscriminately into a protest camp that was located in Louisville’s Jefferson Square Park. Mitchell’s stream has since been clipped and reposted by other individuals.

The Louisville Metro Police Department has also uploaded footage captured by a security camera that appears to show Lopez opening fire as a man falls to the ground before him.

Lopez’s shooting was ended by several bystanders who returned fire, striking him in the leg. He has since been charged with murder and first-degree wanton endangerment, per the Courier. (RELATED: Louisville Shooting Victim Was A 27-Year-Old Photographer)

The slain photographer’s Instagram profile remains publicly available and features a statement asking his viewers to “be excellent to each other.” His profile also features over a dozens shots favorably depicting BLM rallies. “I do not see an end to protests, for good reason. I am so proud of everyone who showed up tonight to show support,” he wrote in the caption for one of his photographs.

Records show that Lopez was arrested on June 17 and charged with inciting a riot, disorderly conduct, harassment and possession of drug paraphernalia, per the Courier. His citation also records that he had a handgun and “with two full mags of ammo” when he was arrested. He was also arrested on June 19 for unlawful assembly and disorderly conduct, per WYMT. Lopez seems to have returned the streets in protest following his June 17 arrest.

A speaker at a Kentucky Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression press conference held the day after Gerth’s murder said that Lopez was sighted amidst the crowds of protesters for at least 12 days leading up to Saturday. The Courier also wrote that its reporters can corroborate this observation. Members of the Alliance also claim that the fact Lopez was arrested so quickly after he fired into the camp is “an example of the injustice that black folks face every day,” because he was apprehended very quickly, but no arrests have yet been made in connection with the death of Breonna Taylor. Taylor was shot and killed by the Louisville Metro Police Department roughly three months ago, per CNN.

The alliance further bemoaned that the protest camp was dismantled and further camping has been prohibited in Jefferson Square following the deadly shooting that happened there.

Fuck you. Don't use that woman's death to deflect from what this asshole did.

Because you hood rats couldn't behave yourselves and killed someone.

I didn't see this elsewhere (a BLM/protest megathread would be nice), but according to Andy Ngo a couple black teens got shot for the crime of being confused for some gunmen by CHAZ "security":

And as you might imagine, everyone's patting each other on the back for making two fascists into two good fascists.

It's especially embarrassing because it was textbook trigger-happy nonsense that wouldn't be out of place in a LAPD report. They shot a white SUV because it came around shortly after a silver SUV did a drive-by.
I wish this would be the massive redpilling to these retards that maybe a) they've been under-estimating the difficulties of making the right call when policing and b) that replacing cops with unqualified 'community policing' is just gang warfare by another name, but Durkan's still pretending everything's sunshine and rainbows and this city will probably memory hole everything that happened after the last weekend in May.

it’s being discussed in the CHAZ thread for the Happenings subforum.

I swear these fuckwads could see Joggers skullfuck their mothers and the first thing they'd blame is Huwait Supremaciss.

No pity for the photographer; hope it was worth it for him, as everyone forgets about him in a week, especially the people he admired.
Don’t worry, at the rate BLM is going, there won’t be anyone to support/protect/enable them.

Meanwhile on Twitter hours after the incident...

What are they now, zero for 20 in "blame the white supremacists" being accurate? Oh, and do we know who bailed this idiot out twice? Inciting a riot while armed was surely more than pocket change for bail.

Remember that HUAC was originally founded to sniff out Nazi sympathizers in Hollywood, and all they found were Commies.

History doesn't repeat, but it does rhyme.

It is amazing how all these camps devolved into violence after only a couple of weeks. Almost as if free love and the promise of gibs isn't a solid foundation for building a society.
The best part is that the Right (or not even the Right, just normies who want to grill) need not do anything to make them fail. Just sit back and laugh as they discredit themselves.

Sorry if this is off-topic, but somebody posted on the Farms a great meme that showed looters, blm, and a logo sheet of all of America's big companies as "the Resistance" with Snoke as the lone rep of the "Empire" saying "please don't burn down my store". I was stupid and forgot to copy it and now can't find the thread it was in!

Any help is appreciated... I thought it was funny as hell.

I realized that unfortunately they aren't doing any worse than capitalism. With people donating supplies the movement will never completely collapse into complete failure to completely discredit themselves.
