I never got why Asexuality (the lack of any sexual attraction) gets lumped with the rest of the LGBTDTUJDISOT+++++ community, people who group together due to feeling sexual attraction. Just seems weird if you ask me.
Same reason why people try to lump polyamory into it, for whatever reason people are desperate to be "queer" instead of boring.
Ironically, many of these "queers" end up being like mass produced carbon copies of each other. Shame about the normal gays and lesbians who just want to live regular lifes tho.

Eh, I could see there being asocial neurotics out there who could benefit a lot from trying to force themselves to go on dates. There was a time when people could do that without it being considered that big a deal, they were much more casual social engagements, so as long as everyone's on the same page it probably wouldn't be a terrible idea.

Making everyone LGBT is acceptable, but more often than not, it's to score pity points or engage in yaoi/yuri fantasies rather than as part of a character. There's going to be dickheads who will say that even to an author who's writing a story about a circle of gays in a city and their drama based on a true story, but even LGBT people have been saying it since creators think that adding "LGBT" means that they don't have to flesh out the rest of the character and end up fucking lazy instead. This even happens with kweer writers.
