I am surprised that this one hasn't been posted yet. Always makes me chuckle

I thought Charlie was gay?
So you know how sitcoms go "will they won't they?" That's this. Sometimes Lily and the other girl are a couple, sometimes they aren't. And when they aren't, it's the old joke of "aww they're too awkward and shy beans to speak to each other! Lesbians are bad at romance ha ha ha!" It's extended queer bating. If they actually got together then the minor "conflict" that you had in this story is gone along with the "lmao so relatable" part to the awkward teens.

You know I'm a bi woman but I rather fucking watch paint dry than this fake chemistry.

All very fascinating but the point I was trying to make is that the guy, Charlie, with short brown hair, is supposed to be gay. Why is he coupled with a woman here?

gay men don't matter to wokies. the only thing that matters is that sweet, socially acceptable lesbian fap fodder
:moai:

My theory? The women who are like “oh they’re a cute couple!” are the bad guys for making Space Buns feel bad by assuming heteronormativity or whatever the word of the week is.

I always assumed Charlie was a really butch dyke. He might not have any female sexual characteristics but I put that down to the artist(s) being a typical SJW troon activist, completely divorced from reality.
Canonical in the webcomic, Charlie is gay but closeted due to conservative (exaggerated anti-gay parents/family), so I go with that.
But the edits make me headcanon him as closeted bi from the female raping him and (really really closeted)
And he's lower middle class due to thrifting hobbies with a cheap smartphone lol.

how many times are they gonna do this plotline with bowl haircut dude sounding like hes going to be hostile only to be supportive
Sorry for double post:
1) Latin girls holding hands is normal
2) I know for a fact that this webcomic isn't set in Japan but since the creators love to toss the #kawaii and #anime under their comics a lot, it's socially acceptable for girls to hold hands in public there; dunno on Space Bun's Asian heritage, but she's not A Japanese girl that's for sure.....unless they reveal in a final strip she's mixed and left because IIRC Japanese people bully/ostracize mixed-race Japanese; and especially the offspring of Black/Japanese couples. Marriage is fine tho.
