To those non foodies, blood based foods are rather common, blutwurst, black pudding, blodplattar, blood soups etc.

In Jewish and Muslim culture consuming blood is forbidden. Greek Orthodox also forbids it.

I'm not a huge fan of it but for something like a gravy I think it's great, alone not so hot or a main part of a protein not so much. It seems we all are foodies in the food section (shocking I know) so I wondered how everyone else feels about blood consumption.

inb4 I have my red wings posts.

I love pork blood cubes.

Had Pressed Duck once, not in France though. Underwhelming.
I haven't been to france and pressed duck was pretty much perfection.

What didn't you enjoy about it? To be fair I'm a huge duck fan as is.

Not saying I didn't enjoy it, it just didn't live up to the hype.

Well, in my region we have crêpes that use pig's blood instead of syrup. They're ok, I guess. Also kinda related:

Black Pudding is really great if you are particular about tender proteins. I love buttery proteins so this is relevant to me, though I've never actually had any real black pudding. I can put two and two together to make out what it'd be like.

Get some and try it! You won't regret it.

I'm sure I've eaten blood food but don't remember it. I'm pretty foodie, I guess I just don't see it much or think about getting it if I do.
Sounds like black pudding is a good start?

Never had blood yet I remember seeing dinuguan now and then. It's a type of pork blood stew from Filipinos. Should give a try whenever I go by a Filipino restaurant.
