Been bored the past few days and decided to play some of the games of my childhood through the Ninja Kiwi Archive.

I don't intend on playing BTD6 again after they stealthily made one of their challenge "Quests" a Mr Beast reference.

I enjoy the shit out of some BTD6. It's always nice to go back to it and just zone out and knock out a couple of medals every few months.

Pretty sure this wasn't really stealth. There was a big promotion when they worked with Mr.Beast. I had a steam advert about it, his monkey was on the main menu. It was in May, before the controversies hit critical mass though. Not to really defend Ninja Kiwi too much, but from their perspective it was a good business move and the only people who believed anything weird was going on were "transphobes" at that time. I guess if you want to be mad that they haven't removed it, go ahead, but the decision to do it made sense if you were a normie who doesn't know the outcome of working with troons.

BTD was already getting overly complex by the end of BTD5, which is when that horseshit monkey city spinoff with raid bosses started happening.
6 seems like a really unfun experience by the time that you reach hardcore difficulty restrictions and spreadsheet autism.

Never really played BTD4 or BTD5 all too much. BTD3 was really fun and was my usual go to. I only have BTD6 to play with a friend or two but I really don't touch it other than that.

I still play BTD6 from time to time. Its fun to mess around in but I never touch the bosses or quests and rarely do CHIMPS. I do think almost every update in the two years or so were garbage though. The last few heroes and towers I feel are too gimmicky and it really feels like they are running out of steam but they've already said they want BTD 6 to be a forever game instead of making 7.

Huh. I've never read any of their descriptions. I always assumed the hero with the cat was some sort of dyke, but I thought that was just me. Crazy how these people insert this gender shit in something so simple as monkey shoot balloon game. Absolutely no reason for it.

They're also basically only working on BTD6, as well as BTDB2 and a new map in BTD5 Mobile/Steam once a month.

But you still had the little Mr.Beast monkey sitting on the main menu during that period, and I believe when I launched the game it had an alert telling me to buy Mr.Beast merch or some garbage. It was objectively obnoxious and I've stopped playing games for less, but it was far from stealthy.

BTD6 is only fun if you play it like it's BTD5/Monkey City and ignore the game's implied demand for insane frame perfect micromanagement. But it is fun.

Used to play BTD5 obsessively in school, BTD6 is fun but I only ever use the tack shooter or sailor/pirate monkeys lmao

i really wanted you to be wrong on this but yes, they refer to him as "they" in the tutorial.
However i think of all the things to point out this is a small detail that barely anyone knows about in comparison to the fact you can buy a pride flag for the monkey village

It costs 40 trophies instead of 25 like the other flags. They don't have a Ukraine flag at least.

the distinction i see that makes the pride flag much worse then just pronoun garbage is that its specifically a pride flag, if it was just the normal gay flag i could care less but they chose to make it the corporate pandering flag which signals to me that they are just going through the motions of being a publicly traded company in america.

I remember being on a kick of playing btd6 during breaks and lunch at work. Once you know the meta, the fun's kinda ruined. The monkey with the knives can carry all but the hardest of maps. Any hard or beyond match you want to get tier 5 druid who throws vines all over the lanes asap. Lower difficulties is the same helicopters, druid, and sniper spam over and over. Any kind of boss event is just knowing how to exploit the game's banana farming mechanics, otherwise you can't win it.

Spirit of the Forest is Fair And Balanced.
Its price got reduced by 30% and then they decided to heavily buff it in close range (Literally triple damage to Ceramic+) without reverting the price change.

this isn't about btd bc I never played any of the bloons games post flash ones on school computers but I liked them. I also liked the original bloons, and in high school I bought a couple hundred bucks in Wii e shop money to buy every wiiware and virtual console game I wanted all at once. anyways I had a few bucks left over and lo and behold there was Bloons on wiiware! I thought wow how cool I bet you tilt the remote to aim. Ill spend my last 3 bucks. No, you used the d pad and it was if the flash game was shittier. terrible disappointment I think about to this day.
