what (if any sauce) do you add to your BLT?

gone all fancy with rocket, baby spinach, roma tomatoes & some bacon smoked with pixie dust tears on a herb sub roll.

usually it's iceberg, bread, any bacon & whatever tomatoes are closest to me in the supermarket.

I just had a BLT for lunch today. I only used mayo as a condiment. I thought about fancying it up but I went simple instead. I used romaine lettuce. It has more vitamins and stuff than iceberg lettuce, which is like water in leaf form.

I don't know if it counts as a sauce, but adding a couple of shakes of salt and 4 shakes of pepper to a tiny dish of full fat mayonnaise and then mixing it up and spreading it on both slices of bread really brings out the saltiness and sweetness of the BLT.

BLOOD NO SORRY I MEAN BLOOD I MEAN BLOOD I MEAN BLOOD I MEAN

My dad made really got ones. Instead of sauce, he'd spread smashed avocado on the top slice of bread and also cooked and added 3/4 slices of Spanish chorizo to it too for spiciness. It wouldn't be very healthy but tasted great.

Garlic butter, aioli, something creamy to gonwith the salty bacon. Add black pepper and voila.

Lightly toasted wheat bread, crispy bacon, romaine lettuce and cranberry mayo

I remember seeing a BLT with guacamole being called an LGBT for some special during pride month... I had a hard time not cringing when I saw it.

I don't use any sauce. I suppose mayo would be fine, but I prefer simply (real) butter.

Toast, butter, tomato, lettuce, bacon. That's all I need and all I want.
