Some people didn't like V1C3 and believe that it was deliberately written badly to sabotage the game since the writer wanted the company to move onto another project. These are not my thoughts, but what others have said about it.
-Hoshino does the same thing she does in CH2
-The other students being defeated by Hoshino off-camera made them seem incompetent and weak (similar complaint people have made about Hina's prefect team)
-Hina gets forced into the plot (another complaint people say about Hina is that she's clearly favoured by the writers and is inserted into the plot a lot)
-The girl who Hoshino keeps fighting doesn't have any sort of motive
-The Underground Dweller is boring compared to the others villains
-The chroma appearing to Shiroko makes it seem like a power that just appears to her if she's having a hard time
-Very nitpicky, apparently in one of the flashback images in CH4, Hoshino's normal halo is shown breaking. Hoshino's halo changes when she goes near-terror mode. Terror Shiroko states that she killed Terror Hoshino in her world, but there is no reason why her halo would return to normal just before she died
-It was a bit dragged out
What did you all think of it?
Sabotage seems like a stretch. Unless someone can produce some proof, my theory is that it just doesn't hit the same highs as previous chapters, and disappointed bugmen are cooking up conspiracy theories as a coping mechanism.

It definitely did retread a lot of the same ground as V1C2. If I recall correctly, there's even a scene where Ayame demands, "Are we really doing this shit again, Hoshino? Have you learned nothing?" It did drag out a bit, too, especially earlier on with the corporate mergers and acquisitions stuff. I also thought Yume's fate was a huge letdown. Earlier story chapters establish that the Abydos student council president died under mysterious circumstances, and in the end it turns out those mysterious circumstances were simply that she was a fucking retarded moron who was too stupid to live.

Suou, I could take or leave her. I'm optimistic she'll tie into V1C4 if they ever get around to that, and hopefully she serves more of a purpose there.

I didn't think Underground Dweller was boring at all. He's a pissy little incel with godlike powers, which I think makes him more unusual and interesting than some of the other villains, like Professor Smug or Nature's Beauty, who are mostly just annoying anime stereotypes at this point. The writers did a good job of making him easy to hate.

Also didn't mind Hina showing up in the story. It didn't feel forced to me. There are a lot of powerful students in Kivotos and a lot of reliable/diligent ones, but there aren't many students who are both. Hina is one of the few students who are strong and dependable, so it makes sense that Sensei would turn to her for help. It's not like you're going to call Wakamo in that situation and add a fuel-air bomb to the fire.

The claim of sabotage and stealing data is serious enough for the Korean police to do a search and seizure. Link Archive link
On February 24, Korean police conducted a search and seizure at Dynamis One’s offices. Examination of the seized data revealed that the company’s executives illegally ran off with an unreleased game’s development data after leaving Nexon Games. As a result, CEO Park Byung-Rim and other key figures of Dynamis One have been indicted on charges of violating the Unfair Competition Prevention Act.

Let's be honest here, the only real ways to sabotage an established Gacha is either try to get a virus to wipe off the database, or add NTR to the plot. You could do massively worse than C3 without hurting popularity.

Imagine if he killed Mika by mistake....

Take it up with the South Korean legal system, as what they done did count as an attempt at sabotage. In addition to the embezzlement they did as the police had uncovered also mentioned in the article I had posted.

Question that should be asked, what is the legal definition of "sabotage" in South Korea?

It could be that V1C3 wasn't written to be a "poison pill" to the overall narrative, instead having been more indirectly affected by the conspiracy to damage Blue Archive. Something like "seditious writers/management intentionally made bad decisions" or "original script was outright deleted from hard drives" which forced the "loyalist" staff to rush out an inferior version of what was originally planned.

There wasn't really any mention in the legal proceedings about sabotaging the quality of story content and art direction. Dynamis One employees were arrested and prosecuted on the basis of stealing internal assets (in this case, a Nexon project called MX Blade) and plagiarization of Blue Archive in general.

Though, the general consensus is that Dynamis One employees did intentionally do something to slow down production of the story, and reduce its quality before they left Nexon in mid-2024. And you know what story content was being pushed out in this period? Volume 1 Chapter 3...

Enjoy prison, Pikachu child.

Wasn't just MX Blade that got fucked as there's another one which is "Project RX" that was canceled due to the Project KV shitshow.

Here's the doc Archive link detailing all of the nitty gritty details minus the police raiding Dynami One offices which happened months later.

Summary of the doc from here

To summarize the timeline based on the doc and other sources:

The (not yet) ex-devs and artists including Park, Isakusan, DoReMi and Mx2j allegedly began developing Project KV concepts behind Nexon and the rest of BA devs, causing various issues for the game.
Few months before departure, the (not yet) ex-devs and artists tried poaching the rest of Blue Archive dev members with "lack of incentive bonuses". Most refused with no programmers joining them due to some apparent bad blood between them.
Still, Nexon and the ex-devs separated on good terms for now and the latter formed Dynamis One with angel investment.
Dynamis One released hints of their new project to the anticipation of KR and JP community.
Nexon's semiannual financial report was released. Those remained at Nexon felt betrayed that the ex-devs and artists lied to them about the whole "lack of incentive bonuses", especially when the latter were actually paid much more than the CEO himself.
Roughly three months after their departure, Dynamis One released their fleshed out Project KV. Comparison between it and Blue Archive afterward became bitter when the Qipao Marina's art in the latest event is incredibly shoddy compared to the arts Mx2j made for Project KV. Further intensifying it was the fact all the works done for Project KV was incredibly fast considering it's just roughly three months between the departure from Nexon and the release of Project KV teaser.
This fueled the suspicion that the ex-devs were sabotaging Blue Archive as the game has various issues over the past year. Combined with the fact Project KV is literally just Blue Archive but with swords, the entire KR community cried bloody murder.
On the JP side, things turned sour when Dynamis One tried to enter Comiket in the non-corpo section which is a big no-no for otaku culture. Their booth didn't help either as it was a big middle finger to Blue Archive which is interpreted as betrayal by the JP community.
So that's the gist of it from what I could understand. Take it with a grain of salt.

I didn't feel that lazy yesterday so I did the grand assault, relatively easy since this boss is one of the earliest added to the game, therefore not a lot of malding and praying to the RNG for the crits(if you don't go for torment, of course)
Yo niggos, try to do it all too if you haven't, I still remember seeing comments from people entirely missing it after leaving it for the last day
Uzawa Reisa has finally met her match, Usaba Ritsu!
She really looks like one of the remnants of Project KV, you know, being too similar
heh, would've been interesting to see a non-gacha game of that, too bad it was killed before they did anything

What seems to be a trailer for the next part of Vol. Ex:

Of note, Spy Suit Rio

Posting this ahead of my shupo pulls tomorrow

Needing to Spark on the previous banner causes me to really worry on killing 24K gems yet again, I think if I'll use more than 100 pulls I'll just go other to get the other twin and eat the Gem drop, nothing important seems to be until the Fest.

Not a spy suit but a legally distinct Evangelion plugsuit. Which according to the JP players, everyone outright refused to wear one after Rio had offer them. Hence the everyone wearing anything and everything else but the plugsuits.
Rio claimed it's efficient but everyone know it's pure bullshit. Rio really like it, though.

And thus the fanart of her in plugsuit-thing continue to rise up to this day.

If Rio had went with legally distinct late 1980ies-early 1990ies Jim Lee era X-Men cold environment* bodysuits, it would've been less bullshit, and more believable.

*Unless you actually read the particular issues, they're visually almost identical to the normal bodysuits they wear. With exceptions to the female characters like Psylocke, where the bodysuit covers all of her body except her head. And have the same blue and gold color scheme as with the rest of the team. Other difference being is the suits being thicker for both male and female characters. Although the scale of "thickness" is measured in microns.
