It's just yet another area where we aren't given even the basic lore and in some cases it's contradictory. There's plenty of adults in the setting, and iirc the Helmet Gangsters consist of dropout students and the Seven Prisoners are all expelled, yet they're all still in Kivotos. Yet there's an implication that once you graduate you leave, in many instances. It's possible that you can choose to leave when you graduate but the fact that we meet exactly zero graduates makes it seem like it's a forced thing.

Same with parents, there are only a few of them who are mentioned to have parents - Nonomi (rich parents that basically own Highlander), Yukari (comes from a noble line, she mentions that joining the Hyakkaryouran Council was the first choice she made without her parents being involved), Atsuko (is directly descended from a long line of Arius Student Council Presidents). Then we have one example of a student that doesn't have parents, and never had them, with Shiroko since she's literally Anubis. She was first found as an orphan girl by Hoshino and Nonomi and attacked them, but the two calmed her down and let her join Abydos. There's also Arisu but she's a literal robot so.

Multiple characters are pressured into being a heir or a successor, but "biologically related" is actually a great point. Apparently a relatively common way in Japan, to keep all those centuries-old family businesses and shrines going, is to simply adopt a suitable successor into the family. (Sometimes they have a daughter and technically "adopt" her husband?)

Even if "graduation" isn't an euphemism, it would still be a downgrade in their social standing. Schools (at least Gehenna and Trinity) are effectively independent states, and their Student Council Presidents de facto heads of state. Makoto or Nagisa completing their senior year should make them ineligible for the position.

Mostly in order to emphasize that Aris being found in ruins is extraordinary and not how Students generally spawn, Momoi and Yuuka both (in separate occasions) reference being young children. Momoi assumes that she (and by extension, Midori) learned to talk by "listening to other people and watching TV" and Yuuka admits to having loved video games as a "kid." Technically these could be dismissed as false memories but that would be a massive can of worms.

Not only are there zero appearances by any parents, none of them are named or even directly referenced (so far, that I've read.) Also you'd think that Yume getting lost in the desert and dying would've resulted in angry pair of parents adding to Hoshino's guilt. The two heirs I alluded to have their family pressure applied by a Butler and a Servant girl respectively (former has a generic robot sprite, latter is an anthropomorphic bird-person.)

Wildest theory that I have is that Kivotos is some kind of world of Platonic Ideals. Some characters have parents because the Ideals and Mythology they're based on says they do, whereas some others do not because they don't. It ties in with the idea of the Nameless Priests worshiping concepts and forces of nature, manifestations of the divine, but without a name. And with the arrival of the "Forgotten Gods", in other words, the anthromorphization of these concepts and forces into deities with names and behaviors, led to the usurpation of the world of Platonic Ideals.

Thunder exists by itself, it doesn't need to be tied to something, but humanity came up with Gods of thunder to explain the phenomenon. Thunder is not a force of nature anymore, it's the weapon of Zeus, or Thor, or an Angel according to Islam. These deities have usurped the meaning of thunder.

Hopefully not, she sounds like a fun character to bring back if we're ever going to get a Gehenna focused chapter and having her be an outright bad person would be a waste.
Major issue is that chapter was mostly written by Isakusan. With Isakusan covertly sabotaging Blue Archive's story including that chapter; while he was secretly setting up his own studio on company time and funding.

That doesn't say that you can't unfuck the sabotage. They could use it as a base to create more plot or whatever, just modifying it to the best of their ability.

The concept of someone whose legacy is so bad that Gehenna is willing to stop fucking around and unusually focusing on it without their usual chaotic schtick is good enough as is. And whats not to say there's just one legacy? Maybe there are more that wasn't covered or somehow finding itself somewhere and some idiots (or whoever that professor Niya Niya is, that annoying brat) decided to use it for whatever reason without any knowledge and opening up new can of worms for Sensei and Gehenna to fix it.

Shit can still be salvaged.

That is was they been doing, hence the tonga line of reruns instead of new events up until a little while ago.

So where is Pandemonium Society and Go Home club featured for the first time? I don't see them in any event.

If we go fan theories the place being after-death/pre-life fits better with the design (halos), naming (Gehenna/Trinity), how hard to kill others (they are all souls). Maybe getting expelled/graduating means moving on to paradise or reincarnating like the Egyptian concept of Duat (tying to the Egyptian theme).

Holy shit, volume one chapter three being 43 episodes is long as hell. Im almost done with it but appretly we will never know Why Suou did what she did because of "Corporate Sabotage". from the main writer that left nexon with a few artists to create his own series with the same concept like BA, that apparently got cancelled.

Go Home club
Go Home Club is just a fancy way of saying "She doesn't belong to a club" and in IRL Japan people not belonging to any club are considered members of the ",Go Home Club" because clubs are considered serious business, so instead of doing club activities they... Go home.

That's why Hifumi in Volume 1 Chapter 1 was labeled as a member of the Go-Home Club despite being from Trinity, and why Erika and her friend from Gehenna were also part of it in Volume 2 Chapter 2 (Asuna and the Maid Club were trying to get info about Gehenna from them).

As for Pandemonium Society, iirc they're introduced formally in Basking in the Seranade of her Briliance. I don't think it's been released as a replayable event yet.

I just started playing the game a week and a half ago, and I really enjoyed the Pandemic event, with Juri unleashing Pan-Panzilla onto the city by accident. Was funny and cute seeing her try and stop Pan-Pan from escaping in her EX skill..

As an aside I was kind of surprised to see a thread about Blue Archive here. I know Deer Feeder has been having an almost nonstop seething sesh about it a long with other VTubers since Jim did that stream with Kircshe or however the fuck her name is spelled.

I don't think most of the people who play this game are looking at it the same way people in this thread are. Most of the people here seem to unironically be invested in the story which is nice, but the vast majority outside the forum are there to jerk off because they are unabashed pedophiles, so I can empathize with der slobbermutts viewpoint, especially after 8chan. The Vtuber people are fucking insane but the fact that this and the Vtuber thread are still up is a nice compromise, even if they are just containment threads.

That's cool. Binahs up btw, good luck finding Chiaki to borrow.
Thankfully I happen to have her already. She along with Ui we're in my initial free 10 students after the prologue.

No sonic tank though, so my team was Juri (Part Timer), Chiaki, Sena (Casual), and Momiji with Iroha and Akari (New Year's).

I have to say that I'm really shocked at how much damage Serika throws downrange. I didn't expect her to do so much damage but... she was consistently #1 in any team that deals explosive damage, and that was before I got her to 3 Stars (Currently have her at 4).

Serika is my favorite character by far, too, I really enjoyed her hardworking attitude and work ethic and really liked her... wasn't sure if I'd like her or not at first, but her waitress scene at Shiba Seki in volume 1 was nice and the focus on her after the Helmet gang kidnapped her (likely to try and murder her) was nice too. Instant favorite.

I Also recently unlocked Hina and she's basically seems to be guaranteed to be #2 in damage output unless you can put enough creeps in her AoE, then she wipes the entire board and becomes #1 in damage, so she's replaced my Machine Gun backline (I was using Izumi, the Hamburger Girl). I keep bouncing between Ui and Koharu... The Holy Hand Grenade is useful as a backup healing but Ui's "Your Ex ability is now half off" is really, really nice too.

ALSO, holy fuck is Haruka strong. Girl throws a surprise amount of damage down and just has a lot of staying power.

And... Last bit of sperging out, but does anyone have advice on how to keep Izuna alive? She does a lot of damage but tends to be a glass canon since she's Frontline and is competing for agro with Juri (Part Timer).

Got Fuuka in 20, still have 60k gems left and like 4 10 tickets. I know I need to save to dress Hina because she's retardedly strong.

Looking at upcoming banners:
* Hikari seems really good for sonic team. But Kikyou might be better due to debuffing as well.
That's it.

I wanted to do a larger list but almost everyone next is Sonic and I already have swimsuit Hanako that can do massive damage by herself for little cost.

I'm missing a Pierce and Mystic DPS units. I know Iori is really good, but grinding for her is slow.

Edit: btw, are raid bosses supposed to be done as a single team, or multiple teams? I always assumed that you get one team but it does let me retry another team afterwards, not that it would matter unless I can borrow a unit for that team as well.

Grand and Total Assault bosses can be beaten with multiple teams, but you can only borrow a student once. For example let's say that your first team didn't manage to beat the boss and you borrowed a student there, you can't borrow another for your second (or any subsequent) team. BUT, one thing you can do is for example use your own Swimsuit Hanako on your first team and then borrow a friend's/clubmate's for your second, or vice versa.

Use her EX to reposition behind the tank. Can also have the tank push forward with their EX if you're running tanks like Hoshino, Haruka, or Mine.

If your units have high investment you can clear with a single team, but if not you can throw multiple teams since health carries over as long as the room timer doesn't run out. Some raids are geared toward multi-teams more than others like Chesed (one team to clear the fortress, one team for the actual boss) or Wakamo/Hovercraft (CC team for Wakamo, auto attacker team for the hovercraft).

If you ever plan on doing torment difficulty you'll probably be using at least two teams for most raids, and lunatic is for people who hate themselves and want to throw four fucking invested teams to guarantee platinum for that season.

When you're still low levelled you'll only be able to do raids with one team because your 2nd teams and beyond are worthless since you can only borrow once and you don't have your own built dps yet.

But for the highest difficulties taking multiple teams to clear is normal depending on your investment. There's actually no limit to the number of teams you can use to take down a raid besides the number of actual viable built students you own.

There's raids like Wakaboat where you'll need a different team for phase 1 and for phase 2 since they ask for different requirements. And there's Goz and Peroro where you need reposition / cleanse students respectively so the number of teams you can bring depend on the number of reposition / cleanse students you have.

The meta is usually doing stuff like if s.Hanako is the best dps for this raid (Like against Purple Kurokage) then team 1 is Borrowed s.Hanako then team 2 is your own s.Hanako.

That's why redundancy is actually useful in this game. Himari used to be the meta Special buffer before Rio and Kisaki released. But now instead of Himari being benched never to be played again like if this happened with other gacha, they're now instead used for 2nd teams and beyond.
