BA is definitely up there when it comes to how easy it is to earn the gacha currency. Juuuuuust because of that though, it's 200 pulls for 1 guaranteed copy of a banner character (spark) with no pity system as you all know. Back in the early days on JP it was 300 as well but I think they changed it after the first Trinity summer event or the bunny girl event, meaning 36000 pyroxenes for one guaranteed copy. Horrifying.
On the flipside if you play every day and even if you do the bare minimum at raids and PvP, it's about 2 months per spark, which is okay as some games have it as brutal as 6 months per spark. The real counterweight when it comes to how generous BA is are the absolutely awful chances even for characters that are on the banner, along with no carryover of spark points.

Geburapists have you gotten your clear in yet?

I cleared insane in 2 teams again for comfy plat on NA, think other servers' plat cutoff will be a decent insane clear so 27.55m+, so if you want 100% guaranteed plat just clear torment. Or stay in extreme if you want the very last few plat spots in NA or think gold looks better anyway, aruji-dono.

Gooks and japs have developed ways to beat lunatic in just 2 teams as well so that's interesting.

I wasnt able to beat extreme till the last two days when I dropped my normal red tank, Haruka, for Yuuka (Pajamas), because I wanted to be able to cheaply use her EX skill to cycle more efficiently.

I'm unsure if it's the defense debuff, the ability to cycle better or a mix of the two but I was able to beat extreme (with 4 seconds left jeesh) without two much trouble in a single fight.

iirc Geburah is one of those bosses that has a high DEF stat so at least one DEF debuffer is a must. I always bring my S.Kanna to the fight as she has both a cheap DEF down and her sub skill buffs special attackers.

You need a DEF debuffer, striker healer, special buffer(s), and special DPS to clear Geburah without any trouble. On Insane+ you need a movement unit as well so as to not let your striker units freeze over.

Trinity idols + uniform Asuna + swimsuit Shiroko + UE50+ Satsuki is a relatively easy enough composition to beat Extreme+. Satsuki herself alone can down hardcore Geburah in about 2 EX skill uses, though be aware his HP gets inflated massively from hardcore to extreme, 6 million to 26 million respectively. Though Geburah requires super specific team comps that include obscure units not many people pulled for so you might be short of assists, which is a problem I've faced on the very first raid that had this fucker.

Next raid is Shiro&Kuro grand assault, which should give you a break from this frozen menace. After that will be the new raid boss Yesod, who is similar to Wakaboat in that you need two separate parties to clear efficiently.

Yesod is going to be majorly difficult for new senseis, well firstly because two parties are pretty much required, but also because his absurd defensive properties mean that usage of Fest/limited units like swimsuit Mika, Wakamo, swimsuit Hanako, and the will-be-new magical girl alts of Suzumi and Reisa are pretty much mandatory.

It's also why Geburah is so hated, 4 limited characters to do a good run and none of them are easily replacable. Just a pure roster check like Greg. With other raid bosses yeah the limited OP students are usually the best you can bring but if you don't have them you can arrange things around and slot in someone who is more easily available that does their job. It won't be as effective of course, but you can at least still interact with the boss mechanics and get a decent clear. I mean I just checked and in my server and bracket you can still get plat with an Extreme clear, so if you just did Insane no matter how shitty it went it's still guaranteed plat. I personally managed to do it without idols and with just U.Asuna buffing my Satsook but since the game insists on making me the "Geburah guy" I'll save up and pull for the damn idols too.

Another week, another chapter added. It started off strong with with the Remedial knights. Mine got a pretty good character moment considering she has been more or less treated as a one note joke. From "she breaks your legs so she can fix them" to understand the seriousness of human life and how precious a stable life can be for ones mental health. It was kinda ridiculous how She willed herself out of a comma for a few minutes but still, the point stands. The rest of the chapter setting up the showdown with Subaru and the book of revelation. Old Aruis ghost refusing to let go of their grudge and trying to bring about the end times (or atleast as close as they can). Im already looking forward to the next chapter.

As for the JFD, its a comfy 3/3/3 for me homes. On one hand, it feels good not having to borrow any students. on the other hand, using mats on none meta students is rather painful.

I can spot some parallels to first half of Vol 3:
-Starts relatively light-hearted, with Sensei actually being teacher and helping bunch of students prepare for an exam
-Political subterfuge and historical burden slowly starts casting a shadow
-A supernatural villain/threat is introduced
-Probably more, but they start getting more specualtive and/or spoiler-y

My post here was partially validated. Saori has grand total of two lines about it. Honestly, that is preferable to her suddenly infodumping about theology.

I like the new chapter, it's a classic trope of trying to help someone who never received any help and getting rejected for it, but written well enough with the rationalization that the suffering must have had a point and not just hating the person helping for no reason.

Should i recruit Iori or wait for a chance of getting her at random? Not that i have any plan of using her anytime soon.
There is no reason not to, and she is really good even if you already have Mika due to low cost, high damage, and can surprisingly deal well with mobs.

Btw any recommendation for characters for Base Defense? The last 3 stages have so much beefy enemies that I can't manage to finish under the time limit.

I always prefer to wait for getting students by gacha chance instead of Hard Mission eleph exchange since it's the more efficient use of resources than if you exchange now and wind up getting gacha in the future. I've been playing Blue Archive since global launch, but have yet to get Izuna and Haruna for this reason even though I have 300 eleph for each.

Regarding Iori in particular, she's probably among the top five best picks in the rate-up-selectable Archive Recruitment gacha pool. She has always been good at PVP for her chance of getting the quick draw on multiple enemies with her cheap, high-damage EX skill, and you can rely on her for yellow damage in hard content if you lack meta options.

Other good picks in the Archive Recruitment gacha pool are Koharu, Ako, Aru, Shun, and Cherino.

I actually bothered to do Archive recruitment purely so I can get Koharu, both because I spent THREE YEARS WITHOUT HER (except the swimsuit version) and I got this delusional idea that I can do Geb extreme with her since I thought "just focus on healing the heater with special healer and koharu, let the borrowed max lvl 90 Satsuki kill it"

The most bullshit thing about it is that I got Koharu on the 200th roll, meaning now I have no idea who to pity next. On the plus side, I got Faust.

Based on "Clear unit", most people clear it with a team that consists of:
-One tank/frontliner (Hoshino, Tsurugi, Reisa) (I personally used Tsubaki, but she doesn't really contribute damage while those three all do AoE and have self-sustain.)
-Three AoE DPS (Nonomi, Momoi/Midori*, Junko, Hasumi(Swimsuit), Iori, Yukari(Swimsuit), Cherino, Marina
Specials have surprising amount of variance
-Special attack buffers (Fuuka(New Year), Kisaki, Rio)
-Stat stick for Cost Recovery (Shiroko(Swimsuit), Himari) (Shiroko's EX is bit useless, maybe you can slap one of the tougher enemies? Himari's is a simple ATK buff with short duration. Cost recovery is probably the main selling point for either of them.)
-Utaha (her Eleph is available on PvP shop, her turrets can do suprising amount of damage when placed behind the tank)
-Serina (move tank forward so enemies form a nice clump)
-One exceptional individual used Makoto

There are some unconventional picks like Mika (she's single-target nuke, but has fast attack speed and has at least a minor AoE component in her Normal Skill) and Hanako (Swimsuit), who doesn't have a matching attack type but can serve as brute force if you happen to have her.

Kokona is a semi-occurring pick. My guess is that if you need to bring a dedicated healer to Wave Defence, you're doing something wrong. But if you happen to already have her, probably worth trying to make formation with her. At least one clear was presumably based on Kokona keeping Mika alive.

(*A package deal because presence of one twin buffs the other. I don't necessarily recommend it, but I ended up burning my Archive Recruitment tickets on Midori.)

Here's the setup I used successfully, so 3* and a swift clear are guaranteed:
The Hosh - primary tank and her AoE while it doesn't do crazy damage due to it causing stun (you did upgrade her EX to 3 right?) she sets the lil robots up for...
Iori - main wave clearer, make sure to aim her EX so you manage to destroy as many bots with her first shot, her second and third are gonna do some nice damage to the lil robots in the back too.
Roogie - secondary tank and damage dealer, requires minimal babysitting just turn on her EX and she becomes a robot annihilating AoE machine. Requires some investment to be really useful, she's my favorite character in the game so I had her at UE40, EX lv 3, other skills at lv. 7 and her unique gear at T2 when I did the final few base defenses and she ended up nuking almost as many lil bots as Iori did.
Cherino - in my team lil Stalin was just there for cost recovery buff, her EX can annihilate a whole wave but you are ACC malding if you do so since Cherino has a low ACC stat.
Serina - just there in case I need to heal the Hosh or if she gets overwhelmed and starts falling back to move her into the front or to set the bots up to get annihilated by either Iori or Roogie.
Rio - she's there just to copy Iori's EX.
