Btw any recommendation for characters for Base Defense? The last 3 stages have so much beefy enemies that I can't manage to finish under the time limit.
bit late, but i've had used this setup

BlueArchive_y4WBixAwfd.png

the general idea is to peroro spam with hifumi (seia's ex lowers her ap cost to 3), and when all the enemies are clumped up on the peroro do a kisaki + iori/tsutsu ex + kotama and clean house, but three words of advice however obvious they may be
  1. tsurugi is NOT your tank of this group, as soon she gets any heat (or you use her EX) she'll start running away and turn hifumi/seia into your tank of the team
  2. could be that it was fixed since it was in the shitty android builds, but kill as fast as possible, back when L was the highest and if you got more than 15 enemies on screen the game would lag to shit and become unplayable
  3. do not let them get pushed behind the doorway you spawn in, if they go far back enough you'll end up being stuck in a situation where skills that have to target something become unusable since they can't target behind the door that your students spawn in
e: a (silent) video example of how it'd look in practice with the damage results

-One tank/frontliner (Hoshino, Tsurugi, Reisa) (I personally used Tsubaki, but she doesn't really contribute damage while those three all do AoE and have self-sustain.)
I never thought to use Tsurugi. As someone nearing max level who mainly used Tsubaki through my base defense missions, I find her EX to be helpful as it bunches all the bots up and then I just use Midori/Momoi/Nonomi to nuke all of them.

That's something that happens with every tank in Base Defense if they get overwhelmed, if they have too many bots around them they start falling back, in my team I would then use Serina to move the Hosh up to keep my Roogie and Iori back and to bunch the bots up to get devastated by Roogie or Iori's AoE.

Yeah, there really is no "wrong" way to do it and there's a lot of options on who to use, you can have your entire team be "free" students (by that I mean either 1* and 2*, or 3* that can be farmed in the shop or in hard missions like Roogie or Iori) and clear it no problem.

Okay managed to do it with S. Yukari doing massive amount of damage. I originally had Cherino but her somehow being braver than Tsubaki (who's supposedly a tank but runs away immediately) meant she kept dying, so decided to yolo it and put Mika to wipe anything that evade Yukari's absurd damage (not really understand how a swimsuit character is somehow stronger indoors).

What did it cost me? Everything.

I'm more surprised at how both Ui and Yuzu are debuffed indoors.
Apparently indoors but not something that they don't recognize = bad

Ui a shut-in librarian who probably prefers her Library interior than most indoors area, while Yuzu spent her time inside her locker. Chucking her out from her locker/closet to start do things is not helping her mood in the slightest.

I have a question regarding Volume 4
Did Terror*Shiroko ever actually kill anyone? I think she mentions having fought Hoshino in her Terror form, but she doesn't seem like she would intentionally murder innocent people (Terror*Hoshino would be self-defence).

You know how when you start volume F you see Kuroko pointing a gun at you? That's basically how Phrenapates came to be, he's you in another timeline but dead because Kuroko shot you.
Kuroko also reveals that she unplugged Ayane's life support as well so that's kill number two. Also in that timeline, Hoshino just died randomly (akin to Yume I suppose?), Serika went missing, Nonomi left Abydos and is implied to have died/been killed in the process. I guess it's funny to assume Kuroko is making excuses up for the three remaining FTF members but I'm leaning towards that not being the case.
In V1C3, Kuroko almost killed Hoshino but decides not to because Hoshino hasn't been completely transformed into terror form yet, and we turn out successful in negotiating the situation (don't know exactly how, during this period it only showed Hosh's internal dialogue - remember, this was the story volume that was allegedly "sabotaged" by Isakusan) and also neutralizing the Fury of Set that the Basement Dweller summoned, thus ending V1C3.

Also yeah, just a little correction here, volume 4 is the RABBIT squad story, and volume F is what you're talking about.

I think Sensei's already dead at the time she shoots him, probably called back by the Chroma.

Later on she says she did do it, though she's also having a breakdown at the time she says it.

TL;DR

That part is so good, I'm glad I went back to revisit it for this post.

Since Volume 4 was mentioned... Alongside EX/Decagrammaton, Vol. 4 is one of the stories where release order should be strictly followed:

Chapter 1 should be read between the two halves of Volume 3. This improves pacing, chronologically there's a timeskip in Vol. 3. It also helps explain that while Kivotos technically does have central government and law enforcement, in practice they can't do too much. Whenever a crisis erupts, they presumably do take action, but can only deploy to the capital D.U. area.

Chapter 2 should be read as the first thing after Volume F (4.5), because it deals with the aftermath. The Kaiser Corporation subplot also imho flows better if you read this before Vol.1 Ch3.

From what I can gather this is the most optimal reading order for the main story, up to the latest Ex. Decagrammaton Chapter 3.

V1: Foreclosure Task Force (Abydos)
V2: Clockwork Flower Pavane (Millennium)
V3: Eden Treaty (Trinity/Arius)
V4: Rabbit of Caerbannog (SRT)
V5: Hyakkaryouran (Hyakkiyako)
V6: Oratorio of Days Gone By (Arius/Trinity)
F: Where All Miracles Begin
Ex. Decagrammaton

Story Part 1
V1C1 → V1C2 → V2C1 → V3C1 → V3C2 → V3C3 → V4C1 → V3C4 → ExDC1 (until episode 13) → V2C2 → FC1 → FC2 → FC3 → FC4

Story Part 2
V4C2 → V5C1 → ExDC1 (episode 14 onwards) → V1C3 → V5C2 → ExDC2 → V6C1 → V6C2 → V6C3 → ExDC3

TLDR: Read by order of release. Heed all spoiler warnings by the game. You are able to read in order the entirety of the Final, and Volume 6.

Edit to not doublepost: I forgot Ex. Decagrammaton chapter 1 was shoehorned into the main story and it messed up the timing a little bit. It should be the correct chronological order now. I believe you can read Volume 3 in order as well, but since V3C4 is a continuation of V3C3 after a lengthy time skip, and the final boss of V3C3 is literally a mini Hieronymus raid that you have to use your own units for, it would make sense for someone new to try and clear Volume 4 first for extra pyrox.

Almost. You need to do Ex: Decagrammaton up till the coffee machine kills himself (Chapter 12?) before Volume 2 because that is where Eimi and Hikari get introduced.

Not really, the SPTF (Himari and Eimi) doesn't appear at all in Volume 2 Chapter 1, so you can read the entirety of it fine without any Deca spoilers. I believe Himari only gets mentioned by name as the "beautiful and smart" club president of Veritas, and Eimi straight up doesn't appear until Ex. Decagrammaton Chapter 1. Partially right in that V2C2 needs to be read after Deca chapter 1 episode 13 though.

The reasoning for the cutoff being at episode 13 is indeed because of the discovery of that AI vending machine which turned out to be the source of Decagrammaton itself , and because on episode 14, Toki appears without context as to who she is, and she appears first canonically in V2C2 and the Final. Episode 14 is also part of Story Part 2 which is after the Final.

Anyway PV 7 should be just around the corner and I'm interested as to what they'll do after they finish up the current Deca chapter. There's still a ton of missing leads especially on the Federal Student Council.

There's the Gehenna chapter, the Prisoners and Student Council President. The last one is more fitting for an EOS event.

Since its commission week, i decided to finally finish Base Defense. Went with @wtfNeedSignUp strat and leveled up my Yukari Swinsuit. It got a bit dicey near the end but did three star all stages. Good thing i hardly touched my hyakkiyako books. Was going to save them if i ever got wakamo but oh well.

"EDIT" koyuki is getting a new skin. koyuki Pajamas!

Other than the fact I'm pretty happy about finally getting one of the two alts she's had in game and that her Memorial Lobby looks cute.
Meta wise she's kinda weird?
She's a special slot student. Her EX buffs everyone's crits and cleanses the student you target. If she cleanses a debuff it increases the crit effect. Maybe she'd be good in Perorodzilla? I've heard that the Kether fight actually has a gimmick that'd make PJ.Koyuki really good, something about a focus-fire debuff that's applied to the Striker that is furthest away from him. Basic skill is a big fan AOE and she does extra damage to big enemies and she's Mystic (Blue) attack type.

She seems like she is basically made to deal with Kether. Whenever he debuts properly as a raid boss.

and she's totally adorable in here and you can touch her finger
e: and different video that also shows the idle and pet animation
