So some dude larping as a journalist has been spreading some fake story about the guy harassed by thugs in DC that he was meeting an underage girl, and a few people on Bluesky fell for it. Apparently the story wasn't even in the article.

The only reason why more Bluesky users didn't fall for it is because the guy used an AI-Generated PFP, and with how much Bluesky hates and loathes AI that's what told them that the story was fake.

Yeah, I mentioned that is a prime way to abuse bluesky's block tactic and I suggested doing exactly that in another thread a while back. Anyone with a brain could have seen the abuse potential. It's very hard to stop disinformation on Bluesky because it's so easy to silence anyone calling it out.
 
They probably should have tried that only if the guy in the story didn't also look 15.

I was on KiA from the very beginning and still remember some names. I still check out KiA2 every so often as well. But it really is like if you took a wokie's badly written parody of the alt right and made a community out of it. Not every game with a female protagonist is woke propaganda.
