This is, in a nutshell, why I just stopped engaging with fandom even in the LiveJournal days. It became impossible to not be inundated with porn any time you went looking for anything or followed anyone. The overall vibe became that to enjoy a thing you must want to fuck that thing.
I feel really sorry for the creators of bluey and MLP honestly. Imagine making something that’s aimed at kids but adults can also enjoy it as well, only for said adults to take it and terabytes of porn of the characters. Fandoms used to be fun, now it’s all porn and trying to kill each other for not liking or liking something someone else does or doesnt. It’s why I hate the fallout fandom becuase it is exactly this.

TBF, I always thought the Fallout fandom turned into a bunch of redditors who loved New Vegas so much that they saw every other game in the series as “inferior” because it wasn’t New Vegas.
It's pretty bad, but thankfully, I think most creators have been able to steer clear from all of that stuff. They just don't inhabit the community spaces a lot of the gooners and other degens inhabit. Closest things they get are conventions, and they stay busy writing, animating, etc. Unless you're one of the myriad of people who make shows like Steven Universe, you probably don't ever interact with your fandom at all, or even think twice about entering into one.
